We’ll start out on the M7 cycleway to the 10 km. point and then turn off onto the new cycleway which connects to the new M12 cycleway. After stopping to view the “Great Emu in the Sky” we will continue on to visit the new Western Sydney Airport, then on to Luddenham for coffee, before retracing our steps to return to Prestons

Ride distance is approximately 60 km at a moderate pace of 20 kph

Please ensure that your bike is in good order, tyres pumped etc. Bring a bike lock & spare tube

​Ready to welcome the warmer weather with a classic urban loop? This ride is all about shaking off the last of the winter blues and soaking in the absolute best views Sydney has to offer as the day fades into dusk and night.

​We’ll depart Tempe right as the late afternoon light softens, snaking our way through Mascot, Alexandria, and Erskineville to hit the Wilson St Cycleway. From there, we roll into Pyrmont to catch the golden hour and hug the sparkling harbor front, pulling into Darling Square for a quick pit stop.

​The real magic happens on the second half of the loop. We’ll glide past Circular Quay to watch the city lights flicker to life over the water, head down the Pitt St Cycleway, and navigate south through Central, Redfern, and Waterloo. We’ll link up with the Bourke St Cycleway, heading straight toward a well-earned, delicious Malaysian dinner - we'll make the final call on the day whether we pull into Mascot or Rosebery. After dinner, it's just a final short spin back to the Holbeach Ave carpark.

​Sunday is deliberately chosen because the city traffic is much quieter, making for a smooth, pleasant cruise.

​Lights: Serious, high-quality front and rear night lights are mandatory. No faint commuter flashers, please - you need to see the road and be seen by traffic.
​Confidence & Vision: This is a night ride with urban navigation. Good eyesight, night-riding confidence, and a sharp eye for city traffic are required.
​The Vibe: Spring evenings can still carry a crisp breeze, so dress in layers. We're here for good riding, stunning views, and great food - leave the complaints at home and bring your best riding energy!
