About us
Welcome to Steel City RPG!
We host RPG events in locations across Pittsburgh for those who share a passion for Role-Playing Games, Sci-Fi, or slaying Dragons in Dungeons. We are a new group working to provide a safe and welcoming environment for public game nights featuring a variety of TTRPGs.
New player? Veteran? Dungeons and Dragons enjoyer? GURPS enthusiast? All are welcome!
Let's roll the dice and embark on epic journeys within the realms of imagination!
Beyond our public game days, we also provide a hub for connecting people for campaigns and general RPG discussion. If you are interested in advertising your campaign or finding a campaign to join, check out our community hub on Discord, a space we created specifically to give more exposure to events and people looking to form or join a group!

Echoes of the Veil / Dead Signal / Lawrenceville RPG Day 13
A street medic named Lena Voss was picked up by EdenTech two days ago. Nobody knows why — she's nobody. But Juar3z is paying extraction rates, and the transfer window closes at dawn.
Dead Signal is a one-shot for Echoes of the Veil, a fast, cinematic cyberpunk TTRPG about revolution, hard choices, and taking down corporate power — set in a world where the WEIRD never left. It just got buried. Powered by Forged in the Dark.
The mission starts clean. It doesn't stay that way.
- Infiltration, improvisation, and things going sideways
- The WEIRD is real — and the building knows you're here
- Every choice has a price
No RPG experience needed. Characters are built together at the start of the session — no homework, no prep, just show up.

RPG Game Day 13 - Lawrence Hall
Lawrence Hall, 4609 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA, USJoin us Sunday afternoon for a Tabletop RPG Game Day at Lawrence Hall in Lawrenceville.
Whether you've never touched a d20 or you've been rolling dice for decades, you've got a seat at the table. Our GMs run standalone one-shots across a mix of systems — D&D, indie games, narrative RPGs, and whatever they're excited to bring. No experience required. Pre-generated characters are available for most games.
The gaming happens upstairs. If you're not sure where to go, look for people with dice, they'll point you in the right direction.
New players welcome. No experience required. If you’re unsure where to go, ask someone with dice on the second floor; they’ll point you in the right direction.
How it works
Games kick off between 4:00 and 4:30 as tables fill in. Arrive at 4:00 to meet your GM, pick your seat, and get settled before play begins.- RSVP here to let us know you're coming.
- Browse the individual game listings — added as GMs submit their sessions.
- Sign up for the game you want. That's the signup that matters.
- Show up, grab a drink downstairs, and head up ready to play.
If a game is full, join the waitlist and still show up. No-shows happen, and spots open more than you'd think. No guarantees, but it's worth being there.
Already RSVP'd but can't make it? Update your Meetup attendance as soon as you know. It takes 10 seconds and means someone on the waitlist gets to play.

DnD 5E / Neverwinter Days and Lunar Nights / Lawrenceville RPG Day 13
Lawrence Hall, 4609 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA, USNeverwinter's cultural festival is in full swing. Music is in the streets, lanterns strung overhead, and half the city is out celebrating. But not everyone in the crowd is here for the same reason.
Neverwinter Days and Lunar Nights is a D&D 5e one-shot built for conversation and suspicion, a social, roleplay-heavy table where exploration and questions matter more than might.
Someone wants the festival to fail, and they're already moving through the crowd. You'll play festivalgoers pulled into the middle of it, with as much reason to be there as anyone else...until you start noticing who doesn't quite belong.- Social and roleplay-heavy where the mystery unfolds through talking and exploration
- Festival setting with color, noise, and a city that doesn't slow down
- Light mystery structure where the suspicion builds as the day goes on
- Low-combat, character-forward table
The festival doesn't stop for sabotage. Can you find who's trying to end it before they do?
No experience needed — pre-generated characters provided, just bring curiosity and a willingness to talk your way through it.

Call of Cthulhu / Edge of Darkness / Lawrenceville RPG Day 13
Lawrence Hall, 4609 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA, USA confession on a deathbed. A debt that was never yours — until now.
Edge of Darkness is a Call of Cthulhu one-shot built around consequence instead of combat. An elderly acquaintance, out of time and out of options, passes you the weight of a sin he never made right — and a warning that innocent people will pay for it if no one steps in.
You're not hired investigators. You're the people he trusted enough to ask.
*Slow-building dread over jump scares
- Investigation and uncovering the truth
*Conversation-heavy, character-driven table - Grounded small-scale horror
Some debts don't die with the man who owed them.
No experience with Call of Cthulhu needed. Fully prepped pre-generated characters provided.
