Cook 1770 Landing: Botany Bay/Cape Solander/Cronulla - 15 km Medium
Cronulla Station, Cronulla, NS, AUEndeavour/Cook Landing: Kamay Botany Bay National Park/Cape Solander/Cronulla - 15 KM
We commence our walk at the entrance to the Kamay Botany Bay National Park, at Kurnell. From here we visit the site of the landing of the HMS Endeavour, commanded by Captain James Cook on 28 April 1770, and other points of interest at this historic location.
Leaving Kurnell behind, we head south through the National Park, rounding Cape Solander and strike out along the newly improved Cape Baily Track. We will climb Cape Baily Lighthouse to enjoy the views. Pressing on through Cronulla View, we arrive at the beautiful lagoon of Boat Harbour, where we stop for lunch.
Back on track we walk along Cronulla Beach which provides a solid walking surface. We can take our socks and shoes off an enjoy walking in the surf. It's pretty good!
We finish our walk at Cronulla MAIN Beach; Cronulla Train Station is 200 metres away.
We should complete this walk by about 3:00 pm.
Distance: 15 KM
Type of Walk: Water, water, all the way, combined with history and national parks!
Difficulty: Medium
Walking Pace: We will average 4.5 KMH.
Meeting Place and Transport: Please ensure you are at Cronulla Train Station in time to catch the "987" Bus to Kurnell which departs which departs at 10:00AM from the bus stop immediately across the street from Cronulla Train Station. Transport back is by train from Cronulla Station.
What to bring: Good walking shoes; 1.5-2 litres of water, no refill available; hydrolytes; one snack and one lunch; light rain jacket depending on conditions; sunscreen and a cap or hat with a wide brim. NO FOOD AVAILABLE AT OUR LUNCH STOP.

Greenway - Iron Cove Bay - CBD: 16KM Medium
Tempe Railway Station, 86 Station Street, Tempe, AUGreenway - Iron Cove Bay - CBD: 16KM Medium
From Tempe Train Station, we head along Cooks River. At Dulwich Hill we leave the river and use the newly extended Greenway which runs through Lewisham, Summer Hill, Leichardt and Haberfield, where we enter the Iron Cove "Bay Run" and head into Pioneer Park for lunch break.
NO SHOPS AT OUR LUNCH LOCATION, SO PLEASE BRING YOUR FOOD.
Leaving Pioneer Park behind, we head through White Creek to Rozelle Parklands and cross the ANZAC Bridge, into Pyrmont. Through Pyrmont, we cross Pyrmont Bridge at Darling Harbour and end the walk at the QVB Building entrance to Town Hall Station.
Distance: 16 km
Type of Walk: Shared pathways, rivers and creeks.
Difficulty: Medium.
Walking Pace: We will maintain a steady pace all day and average about 4,5KMH.
Meeting Place and Transport: Meet at exit Tempe Train Station by 10:30AM.
What to bring: Good walking shoes/trail runners; 1.5 litres of water, refill available; hydrolytes; one lunch; energy bar; light rain jacket; sunscreen and a cap or hat with a wide brim.

Australia Day Harbour Spectacular! 12KM Medium
Circular Quay Wharf 5, Alfred Street, Sydney, AUAustralia Day Harbour Spectacular! 12KM Medium
We commence this spectacular Sydney Harbour walk with a ferry ride to Greenwich Point Ferry Wharf from where we use Greenwich Park to access Gore Cove Reserve and Berry Island, which offers great views into the central harbour. From here it's through Oyster Cove to the historic Coal Loader, where we use the bathrooms and have a 30-minute break.
BRING FOOD; THE CAFE WILL BE BUSY!
After lunch we bushwalk through Balls Head, Berry Bay Lookout (epic!), Sawmillers Reserve and Lavender Bay on our way the Sydney Harbour Bridge which we cross for grandstand views of Circular Quay from the Cahill Walkway.
Transport: We catch the ferry departing Circular Quay Wharf 5, Side A at 10:45AM. (Departure sides sometimes change, so be alert on the day)
What to Bring: Snacks and lunch, hat, sunscreen, plenty of water.

Saturday Fitness!! Homebush to Parramatta via Newington 18 KM (Medium)
Homebush, NS, AUSaturday Fitness!! Homebush to Parramatta via Newington 18 KM (Medium)
We meet at Homebush Railway Station by 10:40AM and use Powells Creek to navigate our way into Sydney Olympic Park where we explore Bicentennial Park, the Waterbird Refuge, Wentworth Common, and the Brick Pit and Haslams Creek through to Newington (the Athletes Village, from the Sydney Olympic Games, 2000) for lunch AND clean bathrooms, at 10km in. PLENTY OF TASTY FOOD OPTIONS AT THIS LOCATION OR MEMBERS CAN EAT YOUR PACKED LUNCH IN THE PARK.
After lunch, we head out past Silverwater Prison and check out Newington Armory before heading for Parramatta along newly improved pathways, which lead directly to Parramatta ferry wharf and Parramatta Railway station, 1km further on.
This walk is a real surprise packet, not to be missed.
Distance: 18kms
Type of Walk: This walk is mainly flat and along various river systems which will look wonderful at this time of year.
Difficulty: Medium. The are plenty of get-out points.
Walking Pace: We will maintain 4.5 km per hour.
Meeting Place and Transport: Meet at Homebush Railway Station, by 10:40AM; as a guide the regular train service from Central, the T1, arrives at 10:31AM. Please gather outside the main station exit station on The Crescent.
What to bring: Good walking shoes/boots or trainers; 1.5 litres of water, refill at Newington; hydrolytes; one snack and one lunch; light rain jacket depending on conditions; sunscreen and a cap or hat with a wide brim. MEMBERS CAN PURCHASE LUNCH AT NEWINGTON, IF DESIRED.
