About us
We are a group of regular folks who want to take our craft as far as it can go, whether that means publishing or creating art for art's sake. As a community, we are helping one another hone our skills, sharing perspectives and expertises, and inspiring each other to see our writing in a new way.
Some of our meetings are about workshopping pieces, meaning we go over manuscripts from members and give our criticisms, compliments and reactions. We also have write-ins, for inspiration and workflow.
We welcome all genres and skill-levels, and all writers. Come write with us!

Blue Robot Write-In

Join a handful of local South Sound writers at Knapp's Restaurant in Proctor for a little chit chat about writing, a fifteen-minute writing prompt with optional sharing afterward, then an hour of free writing on our own projects. This is a low-pressure, no-critique meeting! All genres are welcome.
This group is woman and LGBTQ+ friendly. Knapp's is accessed through standard-size doors that must be pushed or pulled, but has no steps to enter. Bathrooms are wheelchair-accessible but divided by gender. Food or drink purchase is optional (you can find the menu here: www.knappsrestaurant.com/menu). Masks are not required, but the room where we meet is reserved for the writing group so has limited exposure to the rest of the restaurant. The room may be drafty in the winter. Street parking is plentiful on the block, or you can take the 11 or the 16 buses.
