Where French learners can practice, meet people from around the world, have fun and improve their language skills. There is no judgment and no shame, regardless of your level and ability to speak.
I offer online and in-person meetings, from fun conversations to specific events with a particular focus (like French pronunciation workshops), all the way to "confidence building" events. In April 2025, I also started to give French courses over 10 weeks (A1, A2, B1 and B2), followed by a 10-week session in June 2025, and then another in mid-September 2025. The group classes will be offered in 2026, in an 11-week format (A1 to B2).

Casual Conversations in French with Jaime
Hosted from Salt Lake City (Utah), USA***
60-Minute French Conversation Practice
Join other French learners for a relaxed and engaging group session in French.
These meetings are a fun way to practice, improve, and connect with people from around the world who share your passion for French.
Sessions take place online via Google Meet and last 60 minutes.
Please note: I (François) will not be attending these meetings, as I have prior commitments at that time. Instead, my student Jaime will host them. He is eager to practice and improve his French, and this is a great opportunity for others to do the same.

A Welcome from Jaime
"I truly believe that we are all here to learn together, and I hope these meetings help us connect, support one another, and even build friendships. I will be hosting these sessions myself and everyone is welcome, as long as you have at least an A2 or B1 level in French so you can take part in real conversations.
If you bring a positive attitude, enjoy seeing the bright side of things, and are open, friendly, and sociable, these meetings are for you. We’ll explore a new discussion topic each week, while avoiding sensitive subjects such as politics, religion, or sexuality.
Please join me every week from 7 to 8 pm Mountain Time (9 to 10 pm Toronto). I look forward to seeing you soon!"*

Masterclass #1
Topic: Reflexive verbs in French
Date: Saturday, Sept. 27. 2025
Time: 7 pm to 8:30 pm NY time
Format: One topic, across multiple levels (A1 to B2)Document:
French Masterclasses Series — #1 Reflexive verbs
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sgAcJJ-0MhetmDwFeKUlA0OM9o_hv17EplRPIXzEk1E/edit?usp=sharingWe’ll climb the “reflexive verbs” ladder vertically—from simple A1 foundations to B2-level nuance. That means you’ll learn what’s essential now for your level, and you’ll also see what comes next (so you can grow into it). This can’t be mastered in A1 alone; each level adds new rules, frames, and edge cases.
How the level ladder works:
• A1 → What reflexive/pronominal verbs are, daily routines, basic forms and placement (me/te/se; negatives; simple questions).
• A2 → Two-verb chains and modals (aller/pouvoir/devoir + se + infinitif), imperatives (affirmative vs negative), prepositions with infinitives (avant de / pour / sans + se + infinitif).
• B1 → Passé composé with être and the agreement decision path; reciprocal vs reflexive; body-part rule; when there’s no agreement.
• B2 → Idiomatic/pronominal verbs and finer points: se rendre compte (fixed frame), se souvenir (de) vs se rappeler (no de), s’apercevoir (de/que), the effect of en on agreement, and the passive-pronominal pattern (ça se dit / se vend / se fait).Who it’s for: Mixed-level learners (A1 to B2). Beginners get a clear, confidence-building core; higher levels get the missing pieces and the “why” behind tricky cases—all in one focused hour.
Takeaway: A coherent mental map of reflexive verbs that you can reuse across tenses and contexts, plus quick tests to choose the right frame (oneself / each other / idiomatic / passive-pronominal).
