About Us

The Our Next Chapter Non-Fiction Book Club brings together women 55+ who are passionate about personal development, wellness, and lifelong growth. We meet monthly to discuss transformational non-fiction, share practical insights, and inspire one another to live intentionally. Our meetups are held at local coffee shops right here in Fair Oaks. Join us to read, reflect, and grow!

Club Rules

1. Profile Photo Required: Our meetups are open to members with a confirmed attendance status who provide a clear profile headshot.
2. Annual Membership Fee: Membership is $5 per year to help offset Meetup's platform subscription fees.
3. Attendance Cap: We limit the attendee total to 10 members per meeting to keep discussions intimate.
4. Support Local Businesses: Please support the local coffee shops hosting us by purchasing a drink or food item during our meetings.
5. Read Ahead: Please try to read the book prior to attending. However, it is perfectly fine to join us if you have only finished a portion of it!
6. Respectful Environment: We strive to create a warm, safe, and respectful environment. Everyone will be given a chance to speak, and no single member should monopolize the discussion. Members displaying disruptive, rude, angry, or inappropriate behavior will be removed from the group.
7. No-Show and Cancellation Policy: We track "No-Shows" (RSVPing but not attending) and "Last-Minute Cancellations" (canceling less than 48 hours before the event). Members with multiple infractions will be removed from the group. Please update your RSVP as soon as you know your plans have changed. If an unexpected emergency arises, send me a direct Meetup message so it won't count against your attendance record.
