Welcome, all healthy lifestyle enthusiasts and anyone interested in learning to live healthier. The Tai Chi Edge is a Community Based Free Tai Chi training.
This group aims to enhance your ability to control your mind, body, focus, concentration, confidence, discipline, and spirit through the self-improvement psychological and physical effects of Tai Chi.

Tai Chi could give you the health and well-being edge you need to feel better, look better, and be better. 
Using the Open the Door to Tai Chi model, we make learning and enjoying Tai Chi simple, easy, fun, effective, and fast. This Tai Chi model is designed to enhance psychological, physical, and emotional health with the Tai Chi Yang Style 24 Form made simple, easy, and fun.

  • Video Training Step By Step Guide - Coming in This Month - Using our 9-week rotating group system you will be taught the entire 24 Forms, Tai Chi principles, and how to learn more and get better. You can continue with our system to improve your skills and health results. This system integrates principles and techniques from various well-known Tai Chi Masters and experts. The following is an example of our nine-week rotating system.

  • About me
    After 31 years in the Marines, I finally got serious about my personal health and wellbeing. Now to stay healthy and even enhance my physical, mental and emotional health I practice and teach Tai Chi as the foundation for optimum health and wellbeing. I hold numerous certifications including:

Whether you’ve been training with us for months or are brand new to the Tai Chi Edge tribe, this is the perfect opportunity to deepen your practice, make new friends, and share some serious joy.
There are limited seats on the train, so let us know you’re coming so we can coordinate the group.

Looking for a fantastic day of tai chi, social connection, and fresh coastal air? Dab on that sunscreen, pop on your hat and sunglasses and hop on board for our first-ever Tai Chi Edge Adventure Trip!

We are turning our passion for practice into a high-energy social event, and we want everyone in our incredible tribe to be a part of it. This isn't just about the movement; it’s about connection, community, and enjoying the ride together.

Here is the game plan:

  • The Journey: We’ll meet up at the Oceanside Transit Center, board the Coaster together, and enjoy a scenic ride down the stunning Southern California coastline to the Santa Fe Depot in San Diego.
  • The Practice: Once we arrive, we’ll head to the beautiful spot of Waterfront Park to ground ourselves, connect with the environment and flow through one or two revitalizing rounds of Tai Chi Enhanced Style.
  • The Social: After our Tai Chi Session, we’ll grab lunch across the street at Portside Pier https://portsidepier.com/ a food court serving a variety of cuisine with a rooftop terrace and beautiful views of the San Diego Harbor. We'll swap stories, laugh, and enjoy each other's company before hopping back on the Coaster to Oceanside.

Round-trip Coaster fare: Seniors $6.50; all others $13.00. (Covers your own transportation plus lunch on your own.)
Arrive Santa Fe Depot in San Diego: 10:37 AM
Walk to Waterfront Park: 1600 Pacific Hwy, San Diego, CA 92101
Begin Tai Chi Sessions: 11:00 AM
Enjoy Lunch from: 11:45A to 12:45 PM
Return Trip: The Coaster departs San Diego at 1:40 PM sharp
Arrive back in Oceanside: 2:42 PM

Good to know

What to Bring:
Hat and sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, water bottle, and cash/card to purchase lunch and coaster ticket.
Tickets: Buy at station vending machines. (Same day only, no refunds.)
