Note: All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult guardian aged 18+. Older siblings are welcome, with proper parent/guardian supervision

This week, we'll start at Conner Waterfront Park, and go for a short stroll up to Pioneer Park on the hill. We'll discover the ages of some big trees, then enjoy storytime together. After that, we'll return to the waterfront for a picnic.
Timeline:
10:00 - Meet at the waterfront park
10:15 - Begin walk to Pioneer park (nearby, up the hill)
10:30 - Tree aging activity
10:50 - Story time with Mr. Adam (organizer)
11:00 - Return to the waterfront
11:10 - Picnic at the waterfront parkWhat to bring:
-Your tiny explorer (ages 0-4)
-Kids' transportation (carrier and/or stroller for some gentle off-roading)
-Food, utensils, and napkins for yourself and your family
-Your preferred seating and/or blankets for the ground
*There are picnic tables and benches at the park, but they are spread outBathroom Facilities
-There is a port-o-potty by the waterfront park, and a full bathroom up the hill in Pioneer park.Notes on risk and safety:
-All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18+.
-Adults attendees are responsible for their own children and the safety of their children at all times. It is each parent's/guardian's responsibility to determine whether each activity is appropriate for their child's participation.
-This outing has risks including, but not limited to: falls (rocky shoreline), insect bites/stings, hurting plants (thorn pricks, itching, etc.), head-bonking hard surfaces (benches, concrete, rocks, etc.), splinters, incidental sharp edges from items/equipment in the park, choking hazards (gravel, woodchips, etc.), passing vehicles.Donations to the organizer:

This week, we'll play at an awesome playground. Then we'll beat the heat in the splash pad.
*Note - A lot of the playground is designed for older children, so active parental supervision is important on or near any equipment. There is also lots of open space for play with balls, toys, etc. Playing surfaces include wood chips, concrete/asphalt (wet & dry), and grass.

This week, we'll check out some neat rocks, compare them, and learn a bit about their ancient histories. We'll also have the chance to observe a variety of sea life in the nearby tide-pools.
