About us
Welcome to Triangle Third Place (20s & 30s) — a community built around a simple idea: everyone deserves a place to belong outside of home and work.
We create accessible, welcoming experiences that help young adults build real friendships, feel more connected to the Triangle, and discover the people and places that make this area special.
That might mean gathering at a hidden neighborhood café, exploring a local farm, trying something completely new, showing up for live music, wandering a museum, hiking a trail, supporting a small business, or simply sharing a table with people you haven’t met yet.
Our events are designed to make it easier to show up, especially if you’re coming alone. There are no cliques, no pressure to already know someone, and no expectation that you have to be the most outgoing person in the room. Just come as you are.
We believe community happens when people have more opportunities to be together in real life. That’s why we focus on creating experiences that are approachable, inclusive, and rooted in the places we call home.
Along the way, we also want to help people experience more of what’s already in their own backyard — local businesses, neighborhoods, parks, cultural spaces, traditions, and hidden gems they may otherwise never discover.
Whether you’ve lived in the Triangle your whole life or arrived today, you’re welcome here.
We ask that you adhere to our policy as we make waitlists fair and allow a good experience for our members and the businesses we support:
- RSVPs will open 2 weeks before each event
- RSVPs will close 24 hours before the event
- 2 no-shows may result in removal from the group
- 3 cancellations within 24 hours of an event may result in removal
Come as you are.
Explore something new.
Meet someone you might not have otherwise.
You might just find your third place.

Halloween Party & Bar Hop: Lorax Invasion (Costumes Optional!) 🎃
Clouds Brewing, 505 West Jones Street, Raleigh, NC, USREAD DESCRIPTION REGARDING OPTIONAL LORAX COSTUME 👇
For absolutely no good reason, we’re taking over Glenwood dressed as the Lorax (if you want). We are combining forces with another young adults group and starting out in a private space at Clouds brewing with music, games, and munchies.
Honestly, we think it’s going to be hilarious.
We’ll all start together at Clouds Brewing, hanging out in the reserved ballroom area. Grab a drink or food if you want, meet everyone, mingle, play some games, and admire the deeply questionable sight of an entire room slowly filling with Loraxes.
Then the night is yours.
We’ll be sharing six different versions of a night out on the walkable Glenwood South so you can choose the kind of evening you actually want. You do not have to drink. You do not have to go clubbing. You do not have to stay out until 2 AM.
Maybe your Lorax wants:
🎲 games and something interactive
🎶 live music
🍜 really good food
✨ a sensory-friendly/chill spot
🍻 drinks and conversation
🪩 or a full night outPick your adventure, move between groups, stay with the people you click with, or call it a night whenever you’re ready.
Also, this area is completely tricked out for Halloween during the weekend.
The best part? Finding everyone will be extremely easy because we’re all dressed like the Lorax.
There is no deeper meaning here. We’re just going to put on orange outfits and mustaches and wander around Glenwood together because sometimes adulthood should be this stupid.
The Lorax speaks for the trees. We apparently speak for making friends in ridiculous costumes. 🌳
LOW COST COSTUME IDEAS:
- Orange spandex (Amazon) with yellow mustache and eyebrows (Amazon)
- Wear all orange and add a yellow mustache/eyebrows
- Full Lorax costume set with blow up belly
- Feel free to embellish the look with orange/yellow glasses, orange tutu, headpiece (example accessory kit )
- Orange beanie and gloves with yellow mustache
- Orange face paint stick
- Plush Lorax Onesie
No-Show/Cancellation Policy: Because many of our events have limited capacity, an RSVP is considered a real reserved spot. If you can no longer attend, please update your RSVP at least 24 hours before the event so someone else has the opportunity to join. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in removal from Triangle Third Place.
