  • AI-Augmented Product Discovery & Ideation Validation with Dean Peters

AI-Augmented Product Discovery & Ideation Validation with Dean Peters

Raleigh Founded, 509 W North St Suite 224, Raleigh, NC, US

Learn to identify the right thing to build before burning runway on building it right.

This month we're excited to feature Dean Peters, Principal Consultant and Trainer at Productside, where he teaches outcome-based product management, AI Product Management, and customer discovery. Dean writes regularly about cutting through AI hype at deanpeters.substack.com and maintains a set of open, free AI-for-product libraries founders can grab tonight: 100+ copy-paste prompts, 70+ agent skills, and an AI product operating model. He has been shipping products since before "vibe-coding" was a phrase, and he is here to help you stop confusing motion with progress.

Hosted by Parker Mayes and James Fredley, this event brings together startup founders and teams with a panel of experts for real, practical conversations about building companies from the ground up.

AI just made building almost free. You can vibe-code a prototype over a weekend and a pitch deck before lunch, which is exactly why more startups are about to fail faster, and more confidently, than ever. Because building was never the real constraint. Knowing whether anyone wants the thing was.
So this is a working session, not a slide deck. Dean will put AI to work live across the four discovery motions that carry a startup from a napkin sketch to actual fans, using tools he keeps open and free so you leave with the techniques, not just notes:

Market research. Turn loose market-intelligence agents that scan your competitive landscape, size the market, and mine what real customers already complain about in public, in minutes instead of weeks.

Storytelling. Spin that research, and the resulting use cases, into a storyboard and an explainer video, then use the minimum viable story itself as a validation instrument. If a stranger does not lean in, the product will not save you.

Growth, a.k.a. Fonzie metrics. Map the five A's, attention, acquisition, activation, adoption, and advocacy, then use AI to help simulate where people could fall out of the funnel instead of finding out the hard way.

Prototype. Validate the shape of the differentiated delighter that gets activated users to that "aha" that carries them into an adoption state of daily use, and learn from it before you spend on a single line of code.
Bring an idea, or borrow the one on screen. You will leave able to run all four motions on your own startup Monday morning. Less vibes. More evidence.
