For anyone who has lost a loved one, the feelings of sadness, loneliness, and heartbreak can be unbearable. Grief support gives hope and encouragement to those who are grieving. Support group members learn ways to accept their loss and move forward in their grief journeys. This 10-week class is free and open to anyone in the community.

Inspired by Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul by John Phillip Newell, this class explores the hidden tradition of Celtic spirituality and its wisdom for renewing faith, healing the earth, and reconnecting with ourselves and one another. Through reflection and discussion, participants will discover how Celtic teachings invite us to recognize the sacred in creation, listen deeply to the wisdom within, and embrace a more compassionate and spiritually grounded way of living. You’re invited to the ALERT (Adults Leisurely Enjoying Retirement Together) Luncheon on Thursday, September 3rd, from 11:00 am–1:00 pm! This will be the first gathering of our fall series, featuring a delicious beef stroganoff dinner followed by a presentation by the UF Office of Interprofessional Education called “Putting Families First”. This outstanding group of retirees meets on the first Thursday of each month (Sept - May) from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM to share lunch together and listen to speakers or entertainers or play games as a group.

The Banquet is a welcoming community for individuals with disabilities and those who love and support them. Join The Banquet on Friday, September 4, from 5:30–6:30 pm in Room 232 (tentatively) for a potluck gathering! This month, we’ll welcome David Fox with OsteoStrong as our guest speaker. Bring a dish to share and come enjoy a delicious meal, laughter, meaningful connections, and a fun, inclusive evening together. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
