This group is aimed at forming a community of the many Asian-Americans and allies living in Minneapolis/St. Paul.
We strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment where we can build meaningful connections and celebrate the rich, cultural heritage and diversity of Asian Americans.
We are: people of Asian-American/Pacific Islander descent and allies who appreciate community and good food! Our group is a safe and inclusive space for people of East, Southeast, South Asian or Pacific Islander descent, including those who are adoptees or bi/multi-racial.
Join us to explore the Twin Cities, make new friends, and of course, eat great food. We look forward to meeting you!
Details/requests:
- Please post a picture of your face so we know who you are.
- Be respectful of the group- especially since events can be small, if you can't make it, notify the organizer ASAP so that someone else can attend.
- We encourage members to suggest and organize their own events that reflect their interests and hobbies.
- Some events are specific spaces for AAPI folks, and some will be for all including allies
- Be kind to everyone- we are all here looking for connection and support!

See all- Lake Calhoun/Bde Maka Ska WALK & Sushi Train LUNCHLake Calhoun Executive Center, 3033 Excelsior Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55416, Minneapolis, MI
Weather is getting cooler and nicer for lake walks : )
I used to host these lake walks with another group. Calhoun/Bde Maka Ska (BMS) Lake is about 3.2 miles around, a nice walking trail with lake view. It takes about 45 mins at a leisure pace, we can make a possible stop at one of the beaches. So put on your walking shoes, grab a friend and a water bottle, let's walk! Dogs welcomed.Sunday Sep 28th, MEET @ 12PM
Parking Lot of Lake Calhoun Executive Center: 3033 Excelsior Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55416*Park at lake side - see circled spot on map, free parking.
* Be early/on time, we will only wait 15 mins to be fair to everyone. You will have to catch up with us once we start walking. We will walk clockwise direction towards the pavilion way. After the walk, we will treat ourselves to Lunch at Sushi Train Uptown just across the street. I highly rate this sushi place not only for their rotating conveyor-style but mostly for their high quality sushi and many sushi choices (more than the one on Nicollet).
