About us
The Urban Sketching Skills and Practice Club is a space for anyone who wants to get out of the house and capture our city on paper. Whether you are a total beginner who has never held a fountain pen or an experienced artist looking for a regular reason to draw, this group is for you. We focus on drawing what we see in real time, focusing on observation and recording our surroundings rather than making a perfect masterpiece.
Our meetups are simple and low-pressure. We pick a location, spend an hour or two sketching together, and then gather briefly at the end to share our work and chat. There is no formal instruction, but we are a collaborative bunch who enjoy swapping tips on pens, paper, and technique. If you are looking for a friendly community to help you build a consistent drawing habit, come join us for our next session.
