What we’re about
If you are new to the Ventura County area or have lived here forever and just need to expand your circle of LGBTQ+ friends, join us!
This is an inclusive group for singles, couples, other pairings, and families of all ages interested in meeting other LGBTQ+ folks, making new friends, or just checking out some fun activities.
Queer folks from Santa Barbara County, Los Angeles County, or surrounding counties are also welcome to join!
If you would like to be an event organizer, please message me (AJ) and let me know.
Hope to meet you soon!
Here is an article you might want to read before attending our events. We are non-binary-, gender fluid-, genderqueer-, and trans-friendly, so please be prepared to respect all of our members if you attend our events.

Please note: You will attend all events and activities at your own risk. None of the organizers can be held responsible for any injuries, damages, or any other occurrences that might happen at an event.
Please read these guidelines before attending in-person or online activities. If something is not clear, message AJ with any questions.
The main goals of creating these group guidelines are to maintain a safe space where people feel comfortable and welcome and to hold a queer space where we can just be social or have constructive, educational, community-building conversations.
1. Keep it light and social. This is just a social group and not a therapy group. If you are in search of a therapy group, contact the Diversity Collective for recommendations.
2. No means no. If someone does not want to share or participate in an activity, do not push them or repeatedly ask questions. Everyone has the right to pass during an activity or can let the event organizer know they would like to pass beforehand.
3. Celebrate the right to self-determine names, genders, and pronouns. Do not ask personal questions about current or past identities.
4. Do not out anyone about anything. If you know personal information about someone, do not talk about it without their permission or if they have not introduced the information into the conversation.
5. We will not tolerate intentional deadnaming, misgendering, ableism, racism, sexism, sizism, transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, or any other bigotry. When unintentional or misguided incidents occur, let’s be sure to be kind, specific, and helpful as we call the person in rather than calling them out.
6. When political discussions take place, keep communication open and positive. Avoid name-calling, making it personal, or attacking other members.
7. Respect your boundaries. If you are not comfortable with the conversation in an online group or with behaviors at an in-person group, speak up or let the event host know so that they can manage the situation.
8. Allies may attend activities with a queer chaperone.
9. Please do not post photos from events without permission from the folks in the photos.
10. We do not charge membership dues for this group. Donations to help cover the costs of the group are welcome, but they are not required.

Here's a snippet about the film: Rotten Tomatoes give it 100%
Trying to contextualize and come to terms with a terminal cancer diagnosis comes with heartbreak and heavy realizations. Colorado Poet Laureate Andrea Gibson approaches their situation with honesty and art. Alongside their fellow poet partner, Megan Falley, Gibson works towards a big final performance, bringing their spoken word skills to life on an otherwise grim topic. The true beauty comes from within their relationship.
