Pace: The tour will be ridden at a moderate speed of 18â20 km/h average.
Route: The entire route is approximately 50% gravel and 50% asphalt and runs almost exclusively on marked bike paths. A bike with treaded tires is required.
Lights (optional): For safety, please bring a working front and rear light for your bike.
Distance and elevation gain: 27 km with 100 m in elevation. Please make sure you're able to handle this without any trouble.
Duration: The tour takes about 1 3/4 hours in total (including a very short break).

Start: Freudenau Power Plant
We begin our tour at the impressive Kraftwerk Freudenau, which we can easily reach via the Donauinsel or the Donaukanal. Here, we cross the Danube.
Stage Destination: Wiener Zentralfriedhof
Passing the Alberner Hafen, we follow Simmeringer HauptstraĂe toward the Wiener Zentralfriedhof.
Continuing on: Via the Kledering Marshalling Yard to Unterlaa
From the Wiener Zentralfriedhof, we continue westward via the Kledering Marshalling Yard toward Laaer Wald. Further south, we arrive in the quiet, rural district of Unterlaa, where we cycle along the Liesingbach stream.
Return route: Through Schwechat
We continue to follow the Liesingbach stream to Schwechat. There, we use the bike paths along the Schwechat River to pass through the town center of Schwechat.
Destination: Kraftwerk Freundenau
From Schwechat, we follow the Schwechatbach stream northward until we reach the area around Albern and the Kraftwerk Freudenau (our starting point) again.
