See all- Sit & Share: Let’s Chat About Belonging, Grounding & the “Shittery” of LifeCarlson Park, Culver City , CA
Let’s gather in the park for an afternoon of connection, curiosity, and honest conversation.
This month’s Sit & Share is about leaning into community and belonging – even (and especially) when life feels messy, unpredictable, or downright exhausting.
We’ll weave together meditation, meaningful conversation, and shared reflection in a relaxed, supportive space. No pressure. No small talk. Just the joy of sitting together, asking big questions, and seeing what unfolds.
What to Expect
We’ll begin with a short grounding meditation, then explore thought‑provoking prompts in rotating small‑group conversations. We'll have about three prompts, each about 15 minutes long.
Prompts may include:
- How to lean into community & belonging in the face of the “shittery” that life can present
- Practices that help you stay present instead of numbing out
- What energy you want to ground and carry forward
You’ll get to connect with several different groups throughout the afternoon, then gather as one circle to share insights and close together.

- Meditation & Discussion: Opening to the Life You DeserveSilver Lake grassy patch, Los Angeles, CA
Sometimes we hold ourselves back from getting what we want and need, perhaps because we feel we don't deserve it. But we all deserve a great life, simply because we are alive. We will discuss and work with cultivating worthiness.
This event is based on Tristan's personal mastery approach, where we learn to make friends with our mind to cultivate personal growth and inner peace. We explore the intersections of Buddhism, Stoicism, modern Psychology, and other approaches towards this goal.
Our practices generally include some of the following:
- Meditation
- Mindfulness
- Metta (Loving-kindness)
- Breathwork
- Sound bath
- Journaling
No experience with these practices is necessary. Beginners are welcome! Even those of us who have been practicing for years are still learning, and we have so much to learn from each other. As they say in Zen, we must maintain a "beginners mind."
Our discussions are open to a variety of spiritual and scientific approaches to wellbeing, contentment, and enlightenment. We want to hear your ideas, but there's no pressure to speak in the group. If you prefer to just sit and listen, that's great!
Whether you are seeking to find inner peace, or simply a space to connect with like-minded individuals, we invite you to join us on this journey.
Cost: There is no cost to attend, but donations are appreciated through Venmo @Tristan-Blaine. Please do not feel any pressure to donate if you are unable. Your presence is enough!
