About us
Hello Writers! West Side Writers Power-Hour is designed to help writers of all kinds adhere to goals and get words on the page. We are not a critique workshop (although critique and workshop activities are welcome as long as they are not disruptive) but a group that encourages productivity by giving writers a scheduled time and place to work. Come join us for coffee and community as we get it done, one hour at a time!
What to Bring: Whatever writing implements you need whether that's a laptop, notebook and pen, or printed pages and highlighter.
What to Expect: We foster community and encourage each other but are largely self-guided. Some may come to get words on the page and some may come to edit and refine. We may solicit others for advice or ask for their critique, but it is not the main focus of our time together.
Schedule: We start each meeting at 11:15 with a brief meet and greet, begin Power Hour at 11:30 and write until 12:30. At the end of the hour, those who wish to participate are welcome to share their accomplishments and/or goals for the next week.

Note: We will never contact you about free items like laptops or iPads or ask for your personal information. If someone behaves suspiciously please report them to Meetup and advise the meeting host so they can be removed from our community.
