About us

Welcome to We've Got Now—a community for people who want to understand AI, try useful tools and build things together in Reston and across Northern Virginia and the DC Metro.

You do not need to work in IT. Students, career changers, creators, freelancers, entrepreneurs, business owners, working professionals and curious beginners are welcome. Experienced builders are welcome too.

WHAT WE EXPLORE

Practical AI, automation, AI assistants, no-code tools, cybersecurity, creative technology and better ways to get work done. The focus is on useful tasks you can understand, try and check.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Hands-on workshops: learn the building blocks, follow a guided example and practise step by step.
• AI Tools Explorers Night: live demos, project sharing, questions and structured networking.
• Real conversations: meet people learning, building or applying technology in their work and everyday lives.

An example workshop is building a birthday automation in Make.com: a spreadsheet row, a photo you choose, a message in the right tone and an unsent email draft to review. Each event has its own scope; not every session includes the same build.

Join Gus Gonzalez of MyGuyGus and co-host Haytham for a free, beginner-friendly workshop at our Reston office.

Build your first simple AI automation from A to Z using Make.com. We’ll teach the basic building blocks, then guide you through a birthday helper: read a spreadsheet row, retrieve a photo you selected, draft a sentimental or funny message for that relationship, and create an unsent Gmail draft for you to review.

We supply fictional example data, so you can learn without sharing your family’s private information. You can also prepare a small personal spreadsheet and photos you have permission to use. The workflow uses your selected photo; it does not search people by their faces.

You’ll learn what each module does, how information moves between steps, and how to check the result before anything is sent. We’ll also show five short examples of other useful workflows, make time for questions and networking, and share the starter sheet, instructions and blueprint you can reuse.
