Want to really challenge yourself in American Sign Language? Then Salon: ASL is where you belong. This isn’t just a meetup—it’s a space designed for signers of all skill levels to learn, sharpen, and immerse themselves in ASL through real conversations and community connection.

Salon is more than a practice session—it’s an experience. Here, fluent signers refine their skills, setting the standard for others to follow. Beginners step into an authentic ASL space, learning through immersion while respecting the flow of communication. And together, we create a space that bridges gaps and builds connections with the Deaf community.

### How it Works:

🖐️ The Challenge: One hour of pure ASL conversation—no speaking, no English. Writing is allowed.
💬 The Debrief: In the last 30 minutes, we open up for questions, clarifications, and deeper learning.
👀 The Experience: Watch, engage, absorb. Beginners are welcome—but silence and observation are key.

La plupart du temps, nous parlerons en français. Il est permis d’utiliser un peu d’anglais pour aider tout le monde à comprendre, mais le français sera fortement encouragé.
Vous devrez peut‑être apprendre les règles d’un jeu en français sur place. Nous vous indiquerons les jeux à l’avance pour que vous puissiez consulter les règles en anglais si vous le souhaitez.

### What to expect

Most of the time, we’ll be speaking in French. It’s okay to use a little English to help each other understand, but French will be strongly encouraged.
You may need to learn the rules of a game in French during the event. We’ll let you know the games ahead of time so you can look up the rules in English first if you prefer.
