Welcome,
This group is for women 50+ who love being outdoors, staying active, and getting exercise. We have a wonderful group of women (mostly retired) who get together regularly to hike the metro parks and beyond-- in Franklin county and some surrounding counties. Most hikes are a moderate pace (18 minute mile, fast walk but not a run) while others are a bit faster. Trails may be flat or have inclines. Currently, most hikes are on Tuesday and/or Thursday but you may see an occasional Friday or weekend pop up.

WAIVER: In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Women 50+ Hiking group and their events, I fully understand that outdoor activities can be dangerous and that the dangers inherent in such activities, including but not limited to exposure to severe weather, encounters with dangerous animals, equipment failure and misuse of equipment by myself and others, could result in suffering serious bodily injury and/or death and I HEREBY: RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT THE WOMEN 50+ HIKING GROUP, Meetup.com, leaders and/or participants in any activities and/or any of the individual organizers or members of the group, or hold them in any way responsible for any injuries, incidents or other problems to both person, property and schedule. I further expressly agree that the foregoing release, waiver and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law and if any portion thereof is invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, not withstanding, continue in full legal force and effect. The Legal Stuff: Your hike leader/organizer is just a fellow member volunteer. By participating in this hike, you assume all risk of liability and injury inherent in hiking activities. You are responsible for your own safety and for deterring if you are in a condition fit to participate. If you have any doubts, you should consult your doctor. You are also responsible for knowing and abiding by all laws and park rules during your participation on hikes and other events.
A valid individual photo of you is required for all profiles and new member requests. This means no pets, scenery, or other.
