We’ll begin our visit at the Colonial Complex, a cluster of original 1700s historic buildings that include:

The Golden Plough Tavern (beautifully preserved & full of character)

The General Gates House

The Barnett Bobb Log House

The Colonial Courthouse replica (where the Continental Congress met!)

It truly feels like stepping right into Revolutionary-era York. Costumed guides share stories of daily life, politics, trade, travel, and community — the kind of history that feels alive when you’re standing inside it. 🕯️🌿

After we finish the Colonial Complex, we’ll take a short, easy walk over to the York County History Center to continue the experience. This museum is full of hands-on exhibits, artifacts, local heritage, and meaningful pieces of York’s past — from everyday life to major national moments. 🏛️✨

This is a gentle, curious, wander-and-learn afternoon with good company — perfect if you love meaningful experiences, old buildings, storytelling, and places that feel connected to where we live. 💛

Pennhurst Paracon is one of the largest paranormal and horror conventions on the East Coast. It takes place right on the grounds of the historic (and notoriously haunted) Pennhurst State School complex. This expo blends spooky fun, paranormal investigation, horror fandom, and haunted history all in one event. It’s huge, super interactive, and perfect for anyone who loves the paranormal.

If VIP interests you, get it before the discount expires.

VIP includes:

Exclusive building access
(Tunnels, Industry, Quaker, Tinicum — NOT included with GA at any time)

VIP-only perks & access zones

Collectible VIP badge/lanyard

⚠️ Since we are arriving at 11:00 AM, we will not be using the early-entry perk.
VIP is still worthwhile if you want to experience those extra-restricted buildings and the lounge.

At full price ($120), VIP is no longer a good value.
At sale price ($60), it absolutely can be.

🎫 General Admission – $45 during sale; $60 after

GA is perfect if you:

Want a fun, casual, spooky day

Are focused on vendors and celebrities

Don’t need access to the restricted buildings

Prefer the simpler/cheaper option

After the sale ends, GA becomes $60, making it equal in price to discounted VIP.
At that point, VIP is no longer worth purchasing, and GA is the best choice.

Pennhurst also offers a guided historic + paranormal tour, which is an awesome way to experience the site more deeply.

The tour includes:

These tours usually sell out quickly, so book early if it interests you.
