However, if you’re local or just in town we would love ❤️ to see you in-person 🧑 on our hybrid nights. *If you haven’t been to a toastmaster meeting here is a rough outline:* **Introduction –** We go over an agenda, people who have already been assigned roles give a brief description of their duties. **Speakers 👩‍💻 –** This is where the magic happens. Members give prepared speeches ranging from a first timer to a professional orientator regaling us on how he became a jeopardy champion. **Table Topics 🤷‍♂️ –** These are short impromptu speeches lasting between one to two minutes based off a provided question. Don’t worry you don’t have to give a straight answer. 💅 **Evaluation 👩‍🏫 –** In the third act evaluators review our skills, time, grammar, and filler words. We also have special event nights like XXX, Halloween, Backwards Meeting, and murder mystery night. So come join us….

Happy Hour and Language Practice in the Mission

La Hora Feliz, Viernes en el Muddy Waters Cafe!

**Viernes de Hora Feliz at Muddy Waters Cafe!** === **NOTE TO ALL:** This is a free group; No cover or entry fees whatsover (The venue may have events at a later time, but that's usually after our meetup). However, the owner of the venue (Marco) is nice to allow us to met at their place every Friday evening, at no cost, so even though there is no obligation, it is a nice gesture to support him, by consuming some food or drink(s) from them. Thanks in advance! **NOTES TO NEWCOMERS:** \* If you are NEW to the event, please try to arrive around or after 6:30 PM. Most attendants arrive from work or after dinner, so there's NO expectation we will be right on time. If you arrive too early, just be patient, somebody will arrive! \* Most of the regulars tend Not to confirm at the Meetup invite (And that's OK, we are a relaxed group). The group is usually bigger than the number of confirmed people online. \* How to find us? The venue is small, but if in doubt, just check with whoever is behind the counter. they already know most of the regulars. \* Format is 100% Spanish. It is Not a language exchange. But it is usually up to whoever you are speaking to (People are friendly, and may switch back and forth, if you are struggling). \* The group is a mix of Spanish native speakers and medium/advanced non-native Spanish speakers. We don't really have a minimum level, it depends on your personal level of comfort. You can always ask others to speak slowly or clarify, that's OK. Everybody is nice and friendly! Salud! -Viviana, Elisa, Diana, Federico (And the rest of the regulars).
