Welcome to Millbrae Amateur Radio Club. We meet on the first Thursday of each month at the Millbrae Library Room A (1 Library Ave, Millbrae, CA 94030) at 6:45pm. We are doing hybrid meetings. Please feel free to drop in at our meeting or contact us for a zoom invitation. Club meetings are open to the general public; and you can learn how to get a license or upgrade. You can also check in on our net that happens on every Thursday evenings except on meeting days at 7:30pm on 146.490 mhz. Please feel free to drop by if you have a Amateur Radio license or not. Circuit Hacking Monday – Open Electronics Workshop

This group was created to bring together people who share a passion for cybersecurity and a curiosity about how things work. Hiking with the Ladies Who!

This is a weekly event, we meet every Wednesday morning at 8:30 AM for connection, fun, laughs and fun! Hikes are easy to moderate, hilly but wide, no steep cliffs. There are bikers, other hikers and dogs on the trials. There is a nice parking lot and at that time parking is available. JOIN US!! We don't disappoint ;)

Woodworking Workshop

-please read the whole updated description!- Come to work on your own projects and get some feedback from your fellow woodchucks. We have a planer, drill presses, hand tools, a table saw, and much more! ###################### **starting June 8 we will be taking a break from the intensive power tool trainings provided in previous sessions.** For the next few weeks we want to use wood night as a time for actively working on projects and designing ideas for your projects. Happy to help with some guided use of the tools, but for now no full training will be offered. If you are new to the woodshop you are still welcome to join, just know that we will not provide a full training on the tools. If you have significant experience using a Tablesaw, mitre saw, planer etc then this should not be an issue. We do have some scrap wood available, but bringing some wood for your project, especially if it is larger or more crafty, is highly encouraged. We recommend getting your wood at Lowe’s (cheaper) Discount builders supply (closer to NB) or Beronio (higher quality and carry lots of hardwoods). Please feel free to ask questions on the discord if you are unsure about what to get for your project.

Sputter night!

We're trying to bring an old Edwards sputtering machine back to life! Everyone has varying levels of experience with vacuum and deposition technologies from decades of work in industry to "I just read the wikipedia article and sputtering sounds neat" Come hang out and help us get to first plasma and then hopefully full sputtering soon after!

Free Fun Open Mic (Music, Comedies, Poetry, etc)

One of the best open mics in the whole Bay Area!!! Whether you have something to share: a song, a comedy sketch, a poem, spoken words, an interesting story, a dance, a magic act, etc... There no better place to share your creativity to others! (yes, honing your instrument playing, your vocal, etc) Or just to come and enjoy the free show and make new friends! Win/win.
