Duckpin Bowling @ Hollywood Bowl (Uxbridge)

Time for another type of bowling event - introducing Duckpin Bowling! This will be at the Hollywood Bowl in Uxbridge as only a few branches do this type of bowling. Will be playing 2 games of duckpin bowling at the price of £15.40 per person. Payment will be required shortly after RSVP as I have to book you into the lane and as we get nearer the price might rise. Here's more information on duckpin bowling; Featuring smaller, lightweight balls with no finger holes and shorter, squatter pins, duckpin bowling is perfect for all ages and skill levels. I've personally never tried this before, so I'm looking forward to doing so with those of you who come!

There's a Weatherspoons a short bus ride away at Victoria Station, or any number of places in London. ## *The National Army Museum in London examines the British Army's role as protector, aggressor and peacekeeper, through objects and personal accounts.* *Established in 1960, The National Army Museum in Chelsea is the central museum of the British Army. Climate Within: in London Climate Action Week

Welcome everyone, we are here with an exciting event at London Climate Action Week (LCAW). The event consist of two parts. The first part features a role-play called **JoyFuel**, centered on exploring and understanding the root causes of the climate crises. This is followed by a facilitated **discussion and an interactive workshop**, providing space for deeper reflection, dialogue, and collective learning around the same theme. Objective: Participants will engage with climate science in a tangible and accessible way, combining play, activity, and reflection. The performance also encourages participants to reflect on how our individual actions, lifestyles, and consumption patterns contribute to ecological imbalance. Part 1. **JoyFuel** is a play that explores Climate Crisis through reflective and deeper questions to understand its roots. The play stages a story of a graduate student (Arjun), who is ambitious and wants to get all the so-called happiness in his life. He looks up to influential figures, including pop stars and business magnates, as his role models. The story peeps through his own life and the lives of his role models who influence a mass of people to lead a life where happiness is synonymous with more consumption. The collective actions, of the characters, driven by bottomless greed negatively impact the environment. This is depicted through the tragic story of a family of Albatrosses, a seabird. One by one, a family of Albatrosses falls silent, become victims of a meal that was never food but the plastic left behind. Similarly, the adverse conditions of Penguins due to change in the climate, particularly the molt stress is also presented. Through these narratives, the play emphasizes human responsibility in creating and perpetuating this crisis, while encouraging inquiry, awareness and collective action towards protecting ecosystems. The play aims to shift the prevalent notion of happiness through consumption and burning Fossil fuel to fueling the joy within - hence JoyFuel. **Part 2.** **Voice of Earth,** the group discussion and the workshop is an interactive session where the facts about the climate crises will be discussed in detail. In particular, we will scientifically describe the basic terminology associated with climate change like ocean acidification, shifting weather patterns, climate feedback cycles, greenhouse effect etc. For example, through engaging and lively demonstrations, participants will learn about the concept of planetary boundaries, which are the environmental limits within which Earth remains habitable. Crossing these boundaries can lead to serious and potentially irreversible consequences for the Earth To make the experience more engaging, participants will interact with each planetary boundary presented in a human-like form. ENJOY AN UNIQUE WALK IN STUNNING GREEN SPACES IN LONDON. STRENGTHEN NEW FRIENDSHIPS IN A PUB SOCIAL AFTER THE WALK. The above photo is of the magnificent Osterley House. This is a relativity new route from Osterley Park through to Hounslow. Discover a different side of West London on this scenic walk through historic parks, waterways, and grand estates. We begin at Boston Manor Station before heading to Elthorne Park, a peaceful retreat with tree-lined paths and open fields. Strolling along the Grand Union Canal, we’ll take in tranquil waters, colourful canal boats, and glimpses of local wildlife. Our journey continues to Osterley Park, a vast National Trust estate with sweeping meadows, ancient woodland, and the magnificent Osterley House, one of London’s best-preserved Georgian mansions. We’ll finish the walk at a lively pub near Hounslow Central Station, the perfect spot to unwind and socialise. **WALK START:** Boston Manor Station (Piccadilly Line) **WALK ROUTE:** This route takes us from Boston Manor through the green spaces of Elthorne Park before following the Grand Union Canal.
