Costumed Fantasy Life Drawing

Life drawing has long been a foundational practice of classical art and is regarded as the best way to learn to draw the human form. However, most life drawing classes focus on static poses without intention or meaning. These are great for learning human anatomy, but what do they tell you about the character? Teaming up with our talented life models, you will learn traditional life drawing techniques with a focus on capturing models with props, armour, and costumes in fantastical and story driven poses. **In this class, you will:** * Be guided through a fantasy-themed life drawing class with a costumed model * Learn figure drawing techniques * Gain an understanding of human anatomy and how it interacts with a variety of materials * Learn how to effectively pose characters to convey meaning and story **What to bring:** * Your preferred paper and drawing materials, but basic materials are available if needed. * Your awesome self. Have you been too scared to play golf? No one to play with? Don’t know how to get started? This is the group for you. Play each week under guidance of a PGA Professionals tuition and have fun with like minded golf enthusiasts! Don’t have clubs? They will be provided. Tech, finance, law, real estate, hospitality, healthcare, retail, fashion - whether you've engaged with art or not - all welcome. Feel at home. This informative tour will introduce you to statues, fountains, installations and imagery commemorating important figures and events of Australian history. Learn about explorers, statesmen, royalty, women pioneers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander servicemen, indigenous clans of the region. The First Fleet, the World Wars, the development of Sydney, local bird species, and more!
