Sign up at https://forms.gle/vKeVBLQFYhkdsbPe6 • • • • • **ADDITIONAL INFO** Since restarting the event in 2023 we have asked attendees to wear a face mask. 📸 Portray and be portrayed in RAW-Gelände!
Sat, Sep 5, 7:00 AM📍 **Location:** RAW-Gelände, Friedrichshain (Berlin) 📅 **Date & Time:** 5\.09\.2065 \| **09:00 – 12:00** Let's have a "Portray and Be Portrayed" in RAW-Gelände, Berlin’s most iconic industrial cultural space -it leverages the raw, textured, and graffiti-drenched backdrops to create striking, high-contrast imagery. During this event, you'll experience both sides of the lens: **being a photographer and a model**. ➔ Please only join if you're comfortable being photographed by other participants! * We will rotate roles so there is **only one active model** at a time. * You'll work in small groups of 3–4 people * This format is inspired by our successful TFP (Time for Photos) sessions. Check out the reel from our first "Portray and Be Portrayed" event: 🔗 [View Reel](https://www.instagram.com/reel/DEXHaLhKFXc/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link) **👥 Participant Requirements** * **Skill Level:** Intermediate+ only. You must have prior experience with portrait photography. * Gear Restriction: **No smartphone photography.** **⚙️ What to bring** If you have it, **bring additional lighting tools** (speedlights, constant lights, or reflectors). We will be actively experimenting with creative lighting solutions to cut through shadows or contrast against the urban backdrop. **🤝 Photo Sharing & Community Guidelines** To ensure a great experience for everyone, we ask all participants to agree to the following: * **Public Social Media:** If you want to post photos to Instagram (or other public media), you **must** get mutual permission from the other party (photographer/model) first * Share your favorite photos in our Discord and WhatsApp group (we might repost your best photos - you will be fully credited/invited to collaboration) * **Give Credit:** All public posts must tag the author, the model, **@the_isoclub**, and **@_portraitscenter**. * *Tip:* We highly recommend using [PicFlow](https://picflow.com/) to easily select and finalize photos that work for both parties! **📷 Media Release & Participation Agreement (TFP Basis)** The ISO Club runs on good energy and collaboration! Because our events are built around community and creative production, we operate on a mutual "Time for Photos" (TFP) framework. By RSVPing, you agree that organizers and fellow creators can snap photos/videos of you (including cool behind-the-scenes moments) to share in our Instagram Reels and promo materials. If you prefer not to be on camera, we totally get it, but this specific meetup might not be the right fit. Let’s Play Backgammon! - Play, Socialize & Have Fun
Sun, Aug 23, 12:00 PMJoin our Backgammon Meetup to play, socialize, and enjoy this classic game! Everyone’s welcome! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player. Expect fun, friendly games, laughter, and new friends. With the nice weather and the beautiful lakeside setting, it’s a perfect place to enjoy a few games and spend time together. Hopefully we can make the most of a sunny summer afternoon! ☀️🎲⛲️🍻🌳 👉 Please RSVP only if you plan to attend. 👉 Bring your own set if you have one. **How to Play (Quick Guide):** - Each player has 15 checkers and moves them toward their home board. - Dice rolls decide how many spaces you can move. - Land on an opponent’s single checker to send it to the bar. - Once all your checkers are home, start bearing off (removing them). - First to remove all checkers wins! **Fun Fact:** The Origin of Backgammon: Backgammon is one of the oldest known board games, with roots deeply embedded in the ancient civilisations of Mesopotamia. But it is in Persia, where the game truly flourished and evolved into what we now know as 'Takhte Nard'. Archaeological findings suggest that early forms of backgammon were played in Iran over 5,000 years ago. Artifacts such as game boards and dice have been discovered in sites like 'Shahr-e Sukhteh' (The Burnt City), indicating the game’s ancient origins.
