Master the Art of Better Decisions
Mon, Jun 22, 8:00 AMThis interactive session equips you with practical tools to enhance Emotional Intelligence (EI), manage cognitive biases and make better decisions by mastering System 1 (emotional reactivity) and System 2 (logical analysis) thinking where EI serves as the vital bridge between the two. By attending this session you will unlock: * Improved decision making: Reduce the "hidden tax" of cognitive shortcuts. Know when to trust our 'gut feelings' and when to switch to rational thought. * Greater performance under pressure: Learn to recognise triggers and pivot from reactive impulses to deliberate, strategic choices when the stakes are high. * Better collaboration: When you regulate your own System 1 responses, psychological safety flourishes, which leads to better collaboration. * Increased resilience: Build a team that doesn’t just survive volatility but thrives in it. ***Facilitators*** ***[Caidryn Roder](https://www.linkedin.com/in/caidyrn/):*** *Co-founded ProSocia and has over 20 years of experience helping people and organisations thrive. Transform Difficult Conversations into Connection ❤︎ Learn NVC
Fri, Jul 3, 11:00 PM## Do you ever walk away from a conversation wishing it had gone differently? Perhaps you find yourself having the same argument over and over again. You want to be understood, but somehow your words don't land the way you intended. You care deeply about the people in your life, yet conversations with a partner, child, parent, friend, colleague, or even yourself can leave you feeling frustrated, disconnected, hurt, or exhausted. Maybe you've learned to avoid difficult conversations altogether. Maybe you say too much. Maybe you don't say enough. Whatever your pattern, you're not alone. Most of us were never taught how to communicate honestly while remaining connected to ourselves and others. ## What if conflict didn't have to create distance? What if difficult conversations could become opportunities for greater understanding? What if you could express yourself clearly without blame, criticism, guilt, people-pleasing, or shutting down? What if you could hear another person's perspective without becoming defensive? Compassionate Communication, also known as Nonviolent Communication (NVC), offers a practical framework for creating more understanding, connection, and honesty in our relationships. Developed by Marshall Rosenberg, NVC is now practised around the world in homes, workplaces, schools, communities, and organisations. ## What You'll Learn During this highly interactive two-day workshop you'll learn how to: ❤︎ Communicate honestly without criticism, blame, or aggression ❤︎ Listen in ways that help others feel heard and understood ❤︎ Navigate conflict with greater confidence and compassion ❤︎ Recognise the needs behind difficult emotions ❤︎ Express requests clearly and effectively ❤︎ Respond rather than react in emotionally charged situations ❤︎ Build stronger, healthier relationships at home and at work ❤︎ Cultivate greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and emotional resilience This workshop combines practical teaching, demonstrations, group discussion, and experiential exercises so you can begin applying what you learn immediately. ## Is This Workshop For You? This workshop may be particularly valuable if you: ✔ Want healthier, more connected relationships ✔ Work with people and want stronger communication skills ✔ Want to develop greater empathy and emotional intelligence ✔ Struggle with conflict, tension, or misunderstandings ✔ Find yourself people-pleasing or avoiding difficult conversations ✔ Become defensive, reactive, or overwhelmed during conflict ✔ Are curious about Compassionate Communication and Nonviolent Communication No previous experience is required. Whether you're completely new to NVC or looking to strengthen your existing practice, you're warmly welcome. ## Your Facilitator Alex Norman is a Certified Trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) and has spent many years supporting people to communicate with greater honesty, empathy, and connection. Alex creates a warm, supportive learning environment where participants can safely explore new ways of relating to themselves and others. ## Workshop Details 📍 Frenchs Forest, Sydney (Full address provided upon registration) 🗓 Saturday 4 July & Sunday 5 July ⏰ 9:00am – 5:00pm both days ☕ Morning and afternoon tea included 🥗 Optional vegan lunch available 📖 Comprehensive workshop manual included ## Important Registration Information This is a paid training event.
