Hey everyone! I’m beyond excited to kick off our very first official get-together. Thank you all for joining the group early—now it's time to get some games on the table and connect in person! We are locked in for our first casual meet-and-greet next Saturday morning. Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking to try something fun and meet some great local folks, come on out. When: Next Saturday, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Where: The Guardtower East (5939 E Main St, Columbus, OH 43232) Feel free to bring your favorite board game, card game, or party game if you have one you're dying to play. If not, just bring yourselves—we'll have plenty to jump into! The staff over there is super welcoming and has plenty of open table space waiting for us. Joining an adult board game group lets you enjoy socializing with like-minded enthusiasts. It's a great way to spend your leisure time, engage in strategic thinking, and perhaps learn new games from peers.

The meeting frequency varies by group and organizers. Some may gather weekly, while others might meet monthly. Each group sets its schedule, which is typically listed in the event details.

Many board game groups on Meetup are free to join. However, some might have small fees either for participating in events or covering venue costs. Always check the group details for any associated costs.

You don't always need to bring your own games, as many groups supply them. However, check the event description on Meetup to see if bringing games is encouraged or required.

Absolutely, beginners are welcome! Many groups cater to all levels, and attendees are usually happy to teach and share their expertise. Just check the group's focus to see if it's beginner-friendly.

Events can be in-person or online, depending on the group's preference. The event page on Meetup will specify the format to help you plan your participation.

Meetup offers opportunities to form friendships, though immediate connections can't be guaranteed. Success largely depends on your active participation and openness to meet new people.

Organization can vary, as events are planned by groups or individual hosts. While many are meticulously arranged, occasional hiccups can happen depending on who is managing the event.

Not all board games may have groups or events available near you. Meetup's offerings depend on the existing community interests and organizers' availability.

Meetup primarily facilitates group gatherings and doesn't focus on one-on-one matches. It's an excellent way to meet potential partners but isn't tailored for individual play sessions.
