Hi everyone: The Markham/Richmond Hill Group invites you to join us for another drop-in board gaming social! We play a large variety of games ranging from lighter party games to heavier strategy. This event is open to both new and seasoned players. The location (a meeting room above a restaurant - just south of Yonge and Finch) will be visible in the comments section below, to RSVPs. We also host other board gaming events and socials (such as Escape Rooms, Tennis, Hiking, etc) not posted on Meetup. If interested, message me and I can provide you the link to our discord server. **Looking to meet new people in Midtown Toronto?** Join us for a relaxed evening of board games and great conversations. Whether you come alone or with friends, everyone is welcome. Sunday Meeple & Gaymes

This is an opportunity to meet up for some LGBTQ2IA-flavoured gaming and socializing—allies also welcome. Come for the gaming, socializing, not to mention One Star's Hot Dog menu! :) Be sure to invite friends and such, too. Although Fred, your amiable host, starts the event at 3pm, feel free to drop in early as One Star opens at 2pm! You'll have access to a robust library of board games, and attendees are welcome to bring their own games. There is no event fee. Instead we ask attendees to purchase beverages or food from the venue since they are offering us their space for free. We provide nametag stickers with a pronoun field; we want this to be a comfortable environment for everyone, kindly respect people's listed or stated pronouns. If you are unsure of someone's pronouns, don't assume: Ask, Respect and Practice Definitely ask before taking pictures/videos. One Star is NOT an accessible space as the washrooms are down stairs. Queer Gayme Dive

We’ll be in the larger area towards the back. Event officially runs from 4pm to 7pm, at which point we start to pack away the games, clearing up before the band takes the stage (9:30-10pm). You'll have access to a robust library of board games, and attendees are welcome to bring their own games. There is no event fee. Instead we ask attendees to purchase beverages from the venue, Penny's Bar, conveniently located beside Lansdowne subway station at 1306 Bloor St. West. Of course, since they are offering us their space for free, please consider buying a drink if you can--possibly from our \*custom menu\*! Monday Game Nights at LVLUP GAMES!

We invite you to join us to play games and socialize! **There is now a cut off for RSVPs. If you do not RSVP for an event on meetup, we cannot guarantee that we will have a seat available.** CAFE POLICIES 1. There is an entry fee of 6/person + tax for this event. If you do not RSVP at least 4 hours prior to the event start on the day, the price will be 8+ tax. You must check in and pay upon arrival. 3. We are a cafe and do not permit outside food and drink (water bottles excluded). However, you may bring food in from the other food businesses (Henry's, Vito's, not the convenience store) in the plaza to support our neighbours 5. Stay within the designated tables. We may have other events, reservations and walk-ins; we need to keep other tables clear in order to be able to best assess our seating capacity at all times. DO NOT REARRANGE TABLES WITHOUT CONSENT FROM STAFF 7. Be considerate of other guests when selecting games from our library and limit the number of games you bring back to each table to two (2) at a time 9. You are welcome to bring your own games to use in the cafe, but LVLUP GAMES is not responsible for lost, stolen, or otherwise damaged games/components Also as a general meet up rule, to be considerate to other guests. Hello Meeples!!!! I host board game night every Thursday at Face to Face Games, located at 1398 Danforth Ave (about a 3 min walk from Greenwood station, or a 7 min walk from Coxwell station)! How it works I’ll be seated at the table at the very back right hand corner of Face to Face Games (near the washrooms). We usually have 2 tables reserved for our group. (If you can’t find us, ask one of the staff members.) I’ll bring a variety of games from my own collection to board game night, but attendees are free to bring any of their own games as well! Got a brand new game you’ve been dying to play but never have enough players? Bring it along! Got a retro game that you think is a hidden gem? Bring it along and spread the joy! I usually come early at around 4:30pm. If there are other attendees who also arrive early, then we can play some shorter games until 6pm. Six o’clock is when the event officially starts and is when most attendees start trickling in. Once we have most people assembled, we collectively decide which games we want to play and split into groups accordingly. We usually have one group tackling a heavy board game (ie. a game that tends to be more complex and takes longer to finish) while the others play short to medium-length games, but this is very flexible and will depend on turnout and the kinds of games people bring. If you can only get here later or if you arrive late, don’t fret. We’ll see what game you can join so that you can get playing as soon as possible! Rules of the Tables: We are a cool and relaxed group - we swear! But to ensure things run smoothly and that everyone is having fun, we do some some rules we would like attendees to follow: \- Please be respectful of people’s games and property\. For example\, if you’re having a snack \(please share\!\)\, make sure your fingers are clean before you handle cards\, mats\, meeples\, and the like\. People are generous to bring their games to board game night\, so we want to be mindful not to damage or dirty their stuff\. \- Please be mindful of your cellphone usage during the game\. Of course this doesn’t mean you can’t use your cellphone to shoot a quick text message or to check something quickly\. we’re not monsters\! \- However\, if you’re always focused on your cellphone \(for example\, watching a video or playing a cellphone game\) and are not paying attention to the rules being explained\, or you constantly need the other players to repeat themselves as to what sick moves they just made\, then it ends up taking away from everyone’s enjoyment of the game\. \- Please be decent\, in dress and in conduct\. No bullying\, excessive swearing\, racist or sexist language\, and all the other bad stuff\.
