Table Top Games Afternoon (TTRPG & Board Games)

Table Top Games Afternoon (TTRPG & Board Games)

Sun, Jul 19, 1:00 PM
From Gamers @ The Story Sanctuary

**We're building a new community for people who love to play games: a shared love of tabletop RPGs, board games, hobby chat and good company.** We aim to create a warm, welcoming, and respectful group where people can relax, share interests, and enjoy gaming together. Led by neurodivergent people, we're neuro-affirming and LGBTQIA+-affirming. Our games afternoons offer a minimum of two bookable TTRPGs and we have plenty of tables for board gaming plus volunteers on hand to welcome and guide you to a good game from our growing collection. You can book in advance or pay on the door - tickets are on sale now. **GENERAL ENTRY - £5** [https://events.humanitix.com/table-top-games-afternoon-2-general-entry](https://events.humanitix.com/table-top-games-afternoon-2-general-entry) **BRASS AMPHIPTERE RPG - £5** [https://events.humanitix.com/ttrpg-afternoon-2-brass-amphiptere-rpg](https://events.humanitix.com/ttrpg-afternoon-2-brass-amphiptere-rpg) *"The Light of Redtree has blessed this day. Seek the Brass Amphiptere. Cross the Vaulted Desert. Find the Tail. Forge the Three Bells, or famine will consume us all." - Elder Februs.* An ongoing series of connected one-shots. Each session tells its own story and welcomes new or returning players. **GREEN FINGERS RPG - £5** [https://events.humanitix.com/ttrpg-afternoon-2-green-fingers-rpg](https://events.humanitix.com/ttrpg-afternoon-2-green-fingers-rpg) On the eve of the most prestigious horticultural competition in the realm, you're hired to infiltrate the greenhouse of its undefeated champion. Shrunk to a fraction of your normal size, you'll descend into a silent jungle of poisonous blooms, carnivorous plants and unseen horrors. Every step draws you closer to a terrible truth—and further from the outside world. Some secrets were never meant to be unearthed. *TTRPG games: please note these games have a limited number of seats and might not have room on the day!* **Practical Details:** Our building is not (yet) fully accessible, there are steps down to the toilets which are not suitable for wheelchair users or those who need assistance. There are no shops in the immediate vicinity - tea (including herbals), coffee, water available + crisps and biscuits but please bring food/snacks if you think you will need it! And please note that we are a nut-free venue.

Board, card & dice games night at my place or the Pepper (depending on numbers)

Board, card & dice games night at my place or the Pepper (depending on numbers)

Wed, Jul 15, 6:00 PM
From Tabletop gamers of the London Docklands
4.8

Hi everyone! If you like to play modern tabletop (board, card, dice, tile and dexterity) games, and you enjoy meeting new people, then join us in the evenings from around 7pm until the venue closes. Feel free to bring your own games if you have them, but don't worry if you don't, as regular members will have some of theirs. And of course, we'll teach you how to play them if you don't know already. You work late? No worries - you can join us any time during the evening, so if you can't arrive at 7pm, don't worry, just let us know your ETA. Everyone is free to come and go when they like, so it is possible that you may be the first to arrive or the last to leave. If there are lots of us, we may split into groups to play different games. Please write what time you expect to arrive in your RSVP and/or the event comments, so we can try to avoid anyone having to wait alone for long. People who usually attend are a relaxed and friendly bunch, made up of both UK natives and foreigners, who may be locals or live further away, who are happy to welcome newbies and regulars. This event will either take place at the host's home (which can cater for up to six players and where there is [a large collection of games](https://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/natts?rankobjecttype=subtype&rankobjectid=1&columns=title%7Cstatus%7Cversion%7Crating%7Cbggrating%7Cplays%7Ccomment%7Ccommands&geekranks=Board%20Game%20Rank&own=1&objecttype=thing&ff=1&subtype=boardgame) and accessories to play with) who lives at the top of Manchester Road, or if there are more than six players, or if anyone coming would prefer to meet in public, then at the Pepper Street Tavern (which has many tables, but can be noisier, not as well lit, has a set closing time which might interrupt gameplay, and is more expensive than the supermarket). If you want to come but are not comfortable playing in a private residence, please let us know ASAP. Events in this group are free to attend, but it is respectful to the public venues which we may hold them at if you can buy at least one drink or some food while you are present, just like anyone else at the pub would do. If the event is at a private home, you can bring your own choice of drinks and/or snacks. If you would like to contribute towards the costs of running of this group, feel free to buy/bring the host(s) a drink of their choice when you see them, for which they'd be very grateful. This saves money, that can be put towards the [Meetup subscription fees](https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/28677808413197-Organizer-Subscription-prices-overview) and buying the games that we all play. Pepper Street Tavern (formerly Pepper St. Ontiod) is a cosy reasonably-priced pub in the Docklands, near Canary Wharf, just 3 minutes walk from Crossharbour DLR station, 5 minutes from South Quay DLR station, about 10 minutes walk from the Jubilee line station, and a little further from the Elizabeth Line station. Various TFL buses stop nearby at Crossharbour station. Please join [our group on Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/groups/Tabletop.Gamers.London.Docklands/) for tabletop games news, articles, memes, gossip and banter. We're also on [Aftergame, the platform for tabletop games events](https://aftergame.app/groups/tabletop-gamers-of-the-lond-8095).

## Welcome to Relaxed Mafia Note we are playing outdoors in Hyde Park rather than our usual venue. Come and play Mafia, an exciting social deduction game, in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Players of all levels of experience are welcome, including complete beginners. There is a recommended donation of between £5 and £10 to help us to cover our Meetup fees. If you can't afford this though, then don't let this stop you coming! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Come and play board games! Join us for tabletop board and card games such as Just One, Colt Express, Saboteur, Potion Explosion and Wingspan. Monday nights are aimed at welcoming players who are new to modern board games. We always try to make sure that someone is happy to teach games and welcome new people on the night, so don't worry if you're not sure what to play or who to sit with. We don't charge a fee for attending the Meetup, but you will need to pay the venue's game session fee of £8 per person (unless you have a Gold or VIP [Ludoquist membership](https://www.theludoquist.com/collections/membership-2022)). Please arrive by 18:50 in time for everyone to get into groups for the main games to start at 19:00. We will start arriving from 18:30 if anyone wants to join early for short games and chat. All attendees are expected to read and follow [our Code of Conduct](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qnLRLEV6whNYpiBu1mqsBaI6CjhbsC6Ersgwj0BCMSg/edit?usp=share_link) and [our Meetup Rules](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QorSIT3I3YA70ClL825cpMlHWWehpiVrrisy_J6zjFE/edit?usp=share_link). Please remember to update your RSVP promptly if you can't make it and please don't attend unless you are confirmed as attending. Feel free to ask questions in the event comments, or direct message one of the hosts. You're also invited to [join our Discord server](https://discord.gg/rWh8aSA) for game related chat and for arranging games outside the Meetup events.
