Let's Play "This War of Mine"

Sat, Jun 13, 7:00 PM
From Video Game Book Club - San Francisco
4.7

For this month's game we are playing the survival game *This War of Mine*. *In This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle.* *This War of Mine* is available on Steam, Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and mobile. Play through the game as much as you can for our discussion; even if you don't complete the game, you're welcome to come to discuss as well as nominate future titles. We will be meeting at Patriot House, a bar on the top floor of Two Embarcadero Center. Look for us in the back patio area! To discuss the meetup, access more information, and keep in touch with other members, join the VGBC Discord: https://discord.gg/t97Bfv6qsF

Play Go and Socialize

Play Go and Socialize

Sun, Jun 7, 9:00 PM
From San Francisco Go Club
4.7

The SF Go Club is the best place to play Go in the SF Bay Area and the oldest Go club in North America. Started in the 1880s by Japanese sailors looking to play Go, it established itself as an official club in 1935 and incorporated as a non-profit in 1984. The club has a rich community of members and a wonderful club-room filled with equipment, both for playing and teaching. It’s a great place to meet interesting people and share this exciting game with them in person. We are a non-profit social club for teaching and playing the game of Go together. Never played before? We are happy to show you! https://sfgoclub.com
