This meetup is a social coding jam where we use AI to quickly turn fun ideas into functional apps. Whether you're an experienced developer or have never written a line of code, you'll fit right in. There will be **free alcohol, soft drinks, and snacks** for all attendees! This time we're teaming up with our friends at [Softr](https://www.softr.io/). Bring an idea or just curiosity, and we'll team you up, point you at Softr's AI-powered, no-code builder, and you'll leave with a working app — or whatever else you dream up. Join us on the **2nd of June** at our monthly **Audio Developer Meetup** where we will be hosting a **panel of speakers exploring different approaches to tuning** when developing tools for musicians. See below for details! As always, there will be a chance to network over drinks and pizza. Anyone interested in Audio development is welcome! Doors open at 18:00, talks start at 18:15. Please note: Attendance is **strictly limited** to people who have RSVP'd **Tuning Panel details:** Many digital music-making tools are built from the ground up with the assumption that all music is based on a 12-note scale with pitches tuned like a piano. This can force musicians who draw from other backgrounds to adapt to this Western-classical ideal or exclude them from exploring certain creative avenues, with political, social and artistic consequences. This panel includes guest speakers with different musical and engineering backgrounds who will share the barriers they have encountered with existing tools and what doors the next generation of tools could open. **Speakers:** **John Kameel Farah** is a Palestinian-Canadian composer who combines elements of Baroque and Arabic music, improvisation and electronic soundscapes, to create music he calls "Arabic-Baroque-Futurism". In his concerts, Farah draws on themes of resistance, history and identity. Surrounding the piano with synthesizers and electronics, he weaves unfolding sonic tapestries in which looping drones morph into Baroque-style fugues and driving Arabic percussion. **Morgan Sully** (US/DE) is a Berlin-based experimental musician descended from the great American portrait painter Thomas Sully and itinerant roots from Southeast Asia and the Pacific Ocean. Morgan’s current practice moves between live electronics, curation, and the thoughtful resynthesis of sonic heritage. **Uygur Vural** is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist, cellist, sound artist, and storyteller from Թուրքիyե. His work moves between free improvisation, contemporary music, Middle Eastern musical traditions, and acoustic ecology, exploring the relationships between sound, memory, migration, and urban space. Drawing from both Anatolian musical cultures and experimental practices, he develops performances and listening experiences that challenge fixed ideas of tuning, musical systems, and cultural boundaries. **Peter Kirn** is a Lebanese-American composer and music technologist who, for over twenty years, has written daily at CDM.link (create digital music) about music and music tech. He studied composition and musicology at the CUNY Graduate Center and has hosted workshops and interactive performance laboratories in various formats across the Americas, West and East Asia, and Europe, while generally confusing people by making techno, experimental, or ambient sounds on alternating days. **Laurel Pardue** is a violinist and music technologist. She studied both engineering and music at MIT, leading to a PhD in music instrument design and learning at the UK's QMUL. She has designed and built several novel instruments, including the award winning Svampolin (Guthman, NIME), a hybrid acoustic and digital violin, and the Tabla Touch for Keda Instruments. She’s performed with various musicians including Sam Lee, Bang On A Can, Gamelan Galak Tika, and Mishaped Pearls with live appearances on UK BBC Radio, and German television. She currently writes software at Ableton AG and performs with percussionist Bex Burch and Gamelan Saptarvana.

An opening of an art exhibition is a nice occasion to catch up and hang out. No agenda, just art, wine and chat. *** KIT Berlin ([@kitstudioartspace](https://www.instagram.com/kitstudioartspace)) invites you to an exhibition of paintings by Wiola Stankiewicz [@wiola_stankiewicz](https://www.instagram.com/wiola_stankiewicz/) “Now it Makes Sense, Isn’t It?” and a musical performance by Antonio Bastos [@antonio__bastos](https://www.instagram.com/antonio__bastos/) Now It Makes Sense, Isn’t It? continues the “Emotional Algorithm” project — a series of paintings built from intuitively selected screenshots, private photographs, and images found online. The images are combined like an emotional bajaderka (a Polish layered dessert traditionally made from mixed leftovers, fragments, and combined remains) — sometimes through color, contrast, or an unexplainable feeling that they simply belong together. The works explore screen aesthetics and digital ways of perceiving images. Meaning often appears only later. And sometimes not at all. Wiola Stankiewicz is a visual artist born in Elbląg, Poland, currently living and working in Coimbra, Portugal. Her practice focuses on painting, collage, and assemblage, using mixed media techniques and experimental material processes. Working with icons of popular culture, landscapes, found images, and photographs from her personal archive, Stankiewicz builds a coherent and autonomous visual language based on intuition and process. Her works function as images of an open character, in which meaning emerges from the relationships between image, material, and gesture. Antonio Bastos turns vulnerability into stage, community into sound and instinct into creation. From electronics to tradition, from improvised lyrics to shared movement, his music is born live and unfolds into a visual, emotional experience. With dozens of releases and festival shows, he was awarded People’s Choice at the IPMA (USA), blending performance with community creation — involving choirs, schools and local groups of all ages. Each concert is a seed sown in the territory, where the audience also becomes creator.

Wir laden Euch zusammen mit Capgemini ein zu unserem Talk im Juni. Diesmal geht es um Spec-driven Development mit Simon Martinelli. **Spec-driven Development - Wie KI alles verändert – und warum trotzdem nichts neu ist** KI macht das Programmieren schneller denn je. Doch Geschwindigkeit war nie das eigentliche Problem. In den meisten Projekten ist Code immer noch die massgebliche Quelle. Anforderungen verändern sich, Dokumentationen veralten, und Entwickler verbringen mehr Zeit mit der Behebung von Missverständnissen als mit der Entwicklung von Lösungen. Schnelleres Tippen löst dieses Problem nicht. Dieser Vortrag stellt einen anderen Ansatz vor: den AI Unified Process (AIUP) (https://aiup.dev). Anstatt mit Code zu beginnen, starten wir mit klaren, strukturierten Anforderungen. Diese Anforderungen bilden das zentrale Artefakt. Aus ihnen generiert KI Diagramme, Modelle, Code und Tests. Ändern sich die Anforderungen, wird das System kontrolliert und konsistent aktualisiert. Sie erfahren, wie Sie Anforderungen formulieren, mit denen KI zuverlässig arbeiten kann, und wie Sie Geschäftsziele, Architektur und Implementierung im Laufe der Zeit synchron halten. Der Vortrag basiert auf realen Projekten und zeigt konkrete Arbeitsabläufe, keine Theorie. KI gibt Softwareentwicklern die Möglichkeit, das zu tun, was sie schon immer hätten tun sollen: Systeme entwerfen, die Domäne verstehen und die richtige Lösung entwickeln. Nicht einfach nur mehr Code. **Simon Martinelli** Simon Martinelli is a Java Champion, Vaadin Champion, and Oracle ACE Pro with over three decades of experience as a software architect, developer, consultant, and trainer. He is the creator of the AI Unified Process (AIUP) and a strong advocate of Spec-Driven Development. As the owner of Martinelli LLC, he coaches teams to get up to speed with AI-driven development. He regularly shares his insights through international conferences, articles, and his blog, Keep IT Simple (https://martinelli.ch), where he writes about AI, architecture, and modern Java development.
