We are hosting our next Los Angeles Pixel Perfect Social UX Lab and would love for you to join us. This is an informal gathering for designers, researchers, and anyone interested in the craft of user experience to step away from their screens and talk shop in person. The goal is simple: we want to create a space where we can share what we are currently working on, discuss the challenges we are facing in our design processes, and get some fresh perspectives from others in the local community. Whether you are a seasoned pro or just starting to find your footing in UX, this event is meant to be a collaborative environment. You do not need to bring a formal presentation or a polished portfolio; just bring yourself and an openness to chat about the reality of design work. We find that the best conversations happen when we can trade stories about our actual day-to-day hurdles, so come ready to listen and share. Open To All, No Membership Required We specialize in browser-based musical synthesis and real-time visuals, making the world of algorave accessible to anyone with a laptop. While our heart is in the web, our swarm welcomes all manners of live coding environments—from local audio engines to custom-built instruments. Mens Thursday Night Hike And Reflection Group

The plan is to build a community of guys that will have the chance to gain support in nature and from each other every other week while moderately exercising both the body and the mind. This will be a moderate hike. Poem/Quote: # “Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” ―Rumi An idea of what this will look like: -We will start with an optional dedication (whatever is on your heart) -Informal walking meditation (you can choose to focus on your walking) -Poem share or mindfulness prompt (I'll get us started by posting something in the chat and in person. -Optional sharing about what's going on in your life. We encourage the 4 principles of speaking and listening from the heart, being lean of speech, and giving each speaker a chance to share without interruption. This is a meetup to explore building a LinuxCNC fabric cutting machine. The most likely outcome is another idea that goes no where, or perhaps at best another pile of stuff to join the existing half finished project pile. As usual, this is a Linux/Open Source software/hardware centric meetup, with occasional rant against authoritarian government and/or products. With the above in mind, feel free to join us if you are interested in 3d printing with Prusa Printers, embroidery digitizing with Inkscape/Inkstitch, laser engraving with Inkscape/ULS, CNC/manual machining, through hole/SMD soldering, PCB design with KiCAD, AVR/RP2040/RP2350, sewing and knitting machine, and little bit of TIG/MIG welding.
