Refer photos no. 2 & 3. ******************************************** 🥾 DISTANCE: 12km return. 🥾 GRADE: Easy/mostly Moderate on a relaxing pace with lots of photo stops and selfies. 💪🏽 Reasonable fitness recommended due to uneven rocky surfaces, ups and downs hills, stair climbs, rocks hopping and walking on sandy beaches. 💪🏽 Tracks expected to be wet, muddy and slippery at few sections. 📸 WHAT TO EXPECT: 🏖 La Perouse is the northern headland of Kamay Botany Bay National Park, near Maroubra. You'll find fantastic walks, diving spots and historic sites just a quick trip from Sydney's cbd. La Perouse is one of Sydney's oldest 'burbs and packed full of history, nature walks, swimming spots and local cafes, perfect for a day trip. 🚌 Upon arrival at 9.45am at the last bus station at Anzac Parade Terminus, we will have a quick (free) visit to La Perouse Museum. https://mgnsw.org.au/organisations/laperouse-museum/ 🚶After a quick visit at the museum, we will begin our exciting walk to Frenchman’s Beach, Yarra Bay Beach and Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park for our first photo session. Then to Bare Island Fort for another photo session. 🤳 A small island, which you can walk to across a large timber bridge. It is now a historical site. 🐳 lWe will continue our exciting adventure towards The Henry Head Walking Track, stopping at Congwong Beach and Henry Head Lighthouse with an amazing views of the coastline. We may be able to spot some whales, turtles and wild birds. 🐳 We will then continue along the Cape Banks Trail via Cruwee Cove Beach which follows on few other beautiful beaches provide some excellent harbour views, enjoyable bush tracks, and the chance to explore some of the original fortifications. 🥪 After BYO lunch break at the lighthouse, we will head back to Anzac Parade Bus Terminus via the golf course for coffee or a bite to eat at one of the cafes before heading home. ☕️🐠 🏊🏻 You may wish to swim or picnic on the beach. ⚠️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION ⚠️ 📝 TERMS & DISCLAIMER: Attending this event is voluntarily at your own risk. Royal NP at its best! Waterfall to Loftus via Forest Walk, Palona Cave & Audley

**Are you looking for a bit of adventure? This might be the walk for you!** **We will start at Waterfall Train Station.** **From here we will follow the track to the Forest Walk, a shady track that makes its way around Forest Island. On our way, there is only one moderate climb and one creek crossing where we might get wet feet if there has been significant recent rain. Forest Island is a sheltered rainforest ecological environment with ferns, palms, mosses, and creek scenery to admire. At the end, we will have a break at the Palona Picnic Area.** **From here, we will make our way to Palona Cave. We will explore the cave, a large limestone overhang featuring columns, stalactites and a little waterfall (a bit of scrambling will probably be required if you’d like to explore the waterfall). We will have lunch here.** **Then we'll return to Lady Carrington Drive, which is the first scenic route to be built through the National Park. It follows the Hacking River and took 3 years to build, opening in 1886.** **This will take us to Audley, where there are toilets and a café. Engadine to Heathcote via Woronora River, Mirang Pool and Lake Eckersley!

**If you like bush walking on unkept trails with a little bush-bashing, you’ll love this walk!** **We will meet at outside Engadine Train Station on the west side (for those of you directionally challenged, that is on the highway side platform of the station) at 9.30am sharp. The train from Central Leaves at 8.37am and arrives at Engadine at 9.27am** **From here we will walk through Engadine and make our way to the Ferntree Pipeline Trail.** **We follow it along for a while and then start our descend into the bush towards Heathcote Road. We will need to be VERY CAREFUL crossing this busy roadway as drivers do not expect pedestrians and tend to resist slowing down when they see one (don’t ask how I know, just accept that I know).** **Once we get to the other side (less those that didn’t make it Lol!), we will follow Scouters Mountain Trail down to the creek, cross it and then follow the rough fire trail which goes through a few ups and downs (actually, mostly ups).** **When the fire trail ends (rather abruptly), we bush-bash our way down to the Woronora River.** **We have lunch here on some very shady rocks next to the river, enjoying the bush environment. We might even see an echidna or two.** **Then we reunite with the Pipeline Track and follow it to Mirang Pool and then Lake Eckersley, a very tranquil corner of the Woronora River before returning the same way and continuing to Heathcote Train Station.** **There are some lovely views along the way with a wide-ranging number of native plants (a good deal of them in flower) and some native animals (which hang around close to the trail because it is not a common one).** **We will aim to finish at Heathcote by 3.30pm, maybe even earlier, and head to The Arbour for a well-earned drink, before catching a train back to the city.** **\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*** **DISTANCE: About 15 kms.** **GRADE: Medium, with a few “up” hills.** **NOTE: No exit options along the way, unless in suburbia. **Magnificent Harbour Walk! - South Mosman Ferry Wharf to Spit Bridge 14KM** **This is one of the most scenic Harbour Walks in Sydney, with many great elements including new tracks to explore!**! **We** meet at **Circular Quay Wharf 4, Side A** by no later than **9:50AM** to catch **10:00AM ferry to South Mosman Ferry Wharf,** arriving 10:14AM. We make off through **Great Sirius Cove** and enter the Taronga Zoo Trail through to Bradleys Head. Taylors Bay and **Chowder Bay** follow, then it is out to **Middle Head** where we find **historical artillery gun emplacements,** tunnels and bunkers. There are fantastic views into the East Harbour, so we **stop at Middle Head here for our lunch break**. **MEMBERS MUST BRING LUNCH!** After lunch we skirt around naval base **HMAS Penguin**, and head down to **Balmoral Beach.** Up and over Wyargine Point, the route goes through Rosherville Park and **Chainman's Beach** before passing the **Parririwi Lighthouse**.
