Santa Monica Scavenger Hunt

Santa Monica Scavenger Hunt

Sat, Jul 25, 7:00 PM
From Adventure-us
4.9

This is going to be a fun one! Let’s go on an adventure where we’ll solve riddles, figure out puzzles, and complete missions on a 1.2-mile scavenger hunt around Santa Monica. We’ll all download an app that will guide us through the hunt, and we can do it either as one team or as separate teams competing against each other. The whole circuit is 1.2 miles and should take us 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. As always, when we finish, we can go grab a bite to eat somewhere in Santa Monica. It’s going to be a beautiful summer day, so let’s make it a day! We don’t need to bring anything. Just download the app in advance, show up, and pay for the game ($11.69). The hunt will take us to Pacific Park, Chez Jay, the aquarium, Muscle Beach, and more as we complete the challenges. We’ll also be competing for the highest score against all-time teams. **THE PLAN** We’ll meet at 12:00 at the start location: officially [1624 Ocean Front Walk, Santa Monica, 90401](https://maps.app.goo.gl/P62VjbTA11Q9N5yU8), which I think is right at the beginning of the pier. Then we’ll activate the game on our phones and get started. MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS FULLY CHARGED! Make sure to download the Let’s Roam app on your phone ahead of time. Each person will buy their own ticket on [https://www.letsroam.com/](https://www.letsroam.com/)and then enter the code in the app. I suggest buying it ahead of time, but if you don’t, just make sure you have your credit card with you, or whatever you need to make an online purchase. I’ll send my phone number to the RSVP list, so you can call me if you can’t find me for any reason. All right, let’s have all the fun we can handle on a scavenger hunt! Eduardo

Joe’s OG Toluca Lake 5 mile-ish urban adventure walk. Special Thursday edition!

Thursday night Toluca Lake walk special edition . After a 6 month hiatus Joe returns to the Los Angeles walking scene to see his old time amigos and hopefully some new walkers too. The Urban-ish Adventurists which includes legendary walkers Lori and Joe legends in their own minds) collectively known as "JoLo” invite you to explore Toluca Lake. We will be doing a 5 mile-ish walk around Toluca Lake and surrounding areas. We do our best to keep the walk in a 2 hour range, however could go longer by a mile or so and sometimes goes over time posted. Comfortable shoes, water, flashlight and a good attitude are suggested items to bring but not required. Remember it is suggested you get a minimum 10,000 steps a day. We can all achieve that healthy goal together. We help motivate each other. Come out to walk and socialize with nice friendly people and experience a good workout at the same time. Hope to see you at our next urban-ish walking adventure. We appreciate our regular walkers and always encourage new walkers to give our walk a shot. **MEETING LOCATION:** Tables/benches near the parking lot exit in front of the baseball/softball field **TOTAL DISTANCE**: We try to keep it to 5 miles but sometimes, we go over by a bit (mostly flat) **GUESTS**: Attendees are welcome to bring a guest (dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash) **LIABILITY WAIVER**: The organizer(s) is an uncompensated and untrained volunteer. By joining this event each member accepts full responsibility for knowing their limits, for all injuries, health issues, material losses, assessing all risks and for getting lost. Each member shall make their guests aware of these policies and releases the host(s) and the group from all liability.

And while 15,000 or 20,000 steps would be great, they also require more time. So to make it fun and manageable, we’re starting with 10k steps as a challenge—and we may increase the goal in future events. **THE IMPORTANT POINTS ARE THESE;** Space is limited, so **please RSVP only if you’re 100% sure you’ll attend.** 🙏🏾If you RSVP and don’t show, you will be 🚩Red Flagged 🚩for future events—we all appreciate reliability and respect for others' abilities to get a spot to walk!🙏🏾 Expect to hit somewhere between **10,000–12,000 steps (approximately 7.5-9 miles),** depending on the pace and group. This **midweek walking event** is going really well. So, let’s **stay active together** and **make this a Strong part of our routine. See You There** [COMMENT BELOW IF YOU ARE IN AGREEMENT] **NOW IS THE TIME, LET’S GET TO WALKING** Btw. Yes, Lacy Park allows dogs. However, they must be on a leash and it will be your own responsibility. No running involved. Just a casual, social walk. Bring water if you need it. **Free street parking is available in the surrounding areas. Please avoid parking inside the park lot, as the gates may close before we finish our walk.** **Park closes at dusk so I strongly advise against parking inside any of the lots. Just drive around, and you can easily find free open parking spaces.** **Lacy Park is located at 1485 Virginia Road, San Marino, CA 91108**
