This workshop is designed as a gentle pause from everyday life—a chance to slow down, reconnect with your creativity, and spend a relaxing summer evening surrounded by nature and like-minded people. 📅 Date: Sunday, 16 August 2026 ⏰ Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM 📍 Location: Treptower Park **💶 Contribution: 6€ per person(pay by cash or paypal on the say of event)** 👥 Limited to 8 participants 🎨 Beginner Friendly What we’ll do During this two-hour workshop, we’ll paint a beautiful landscape in watercolours on postcard-sized paper. The workshop is beginner-friendly, and no previous painting experience is needed. This isn’t an art class focused on perfection. It’s an opportunity to explore creativity, enjoy the process, and experience the calming effect of painting in a relaxed and supportive environment. Whether you paint regularly or haven’t picked up a brush in years, you’re warmly welcome. Fancy a summer hike and good vegan company? Join us for a summer hike along the southern shore of Müggelsee! We’ll follow forest trails along Müggelsee’s southern bank, pausing mid-route for a simple lakeside vegan lunch. Afterward, we’ll continue to the ferry (public transport—covered by the Deutschlandticket/BVG fare) across to Neu-Venedig (New Venice) before heading to Wilhelmshagen to catch the S3 back toward the city. * **Meeting point**: S-Bahn Friedrichshagen (meeting at the platform) * **End point**: S-Bahn Wilhelmshagen * **When**: Saturday 15 August, 11 am (please be on time) * **Route**: about 13 km, with a lunch stop by the lake * **Vegan-only event**: bring your own vegan lunch. Cycle tour: Industry and Waterways of Moabit

# Industry and Waterways of Moabit **Theme:** Cycle Loop + History + Architecture + Beer Garden **Time:** 14:00 **Start:** Deutsches Technikmuseum **Distance:** 30 km **Suggested contribution:** €5 This ride tells the story of the ideas, inventions and elegant architecture that transformed Berlin into one of the world's leading scientific and industrial capitals around 1900. We'll cycle through the districts of Kreuzberg, Tiergarten, Moabit, Charlottenburg and Mitte, discovering power stations, research institutes, engineering landmarks, beautiful public buildings and some of Berlin's finest examples of industrial architecture. We'll finish with a beer together by the water. ## The Tour We will follow, more or less, the **"Innovation und Eleganz"** Industrial Heritage Cycle Route, beginning at the Deutsches Technikmuseum before making our way through some of Berlin's former industrial neighbourhoods. We'll visit the pioneering **Kraftwerk Moabit**, the famous **AEG Turbine Factory** designed by Peter Behrens, admire the elegant buildings of **Charlottenburg**. We'll also pass the famous **KPM Porcelain Manufactory**. We'll finish with a well-earned beer together beside the Spree. I am an accredited tour guide in Berlin, specialising in telling stories about the city's industrial heritage. Would recommend the following at a minimum: * Packed lunch for break during hike. * Suitable footwear for hike (hiking shoes if possible, else any other good shoes). * Rain jackets * Rain trousers * Hiking Shoes * Suitable day pack * Sun protection. **WHAT IS THE PLAN?** **6:00 am -** Meet in Berlin central train station **6:23 am -** Catch train for Kurort Rathen starting with RE 2 to Cottbus. **11:00 am -** Arrive in Kurort Rathen and start hiking **12:30 pm -** Arrive in Bastei brucken and have a short break to explore the area. **12:45 pm** \- Continue hike **2:00 pm -** Stop for lunch break at beautiful beer garden. **2:30 pm** \- Start hiking after lunch **6:00 pm** \- Finish hike and get back to Kurort Rathen\.
