Swerve 'N' Curve #26 - SBSC Annual Scooter Rally! - ALL SCOOTERS (SATURDAY)

Swerve 'N' Curve #26 - SBSC Annual Scooter Rally! - ALL SCOOTERS (SATURDAY)

From Los Angeles Scooter Group

It's RALLY TIME AGAIN! All Scooters Welcome! **The South Bay Scooter Club presents the 26th Annual Swerve 'n' Curve, celebrating 250 years of the USA, and one of the biggest and longest-running rallies in SoCal.** ***It's also usually the largest ride we participate in every year.*** For many LASG members, this is/was/will be their first big rally, and it's always memorable. This is a great chance to meet riders from all over the region, see an amazing array of scooters, and take a ride around the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula area. **Important info:** *This meetup is for the LASG group ride to the Swerve 'n' Curve rally on Saturday, September 12th. If you're meeting us in Torrance, no need to RSVP for this ride.* ***There is usually an optional pre-registration for the rally so folks can secure a pre-order t-shirt, which must be purchased in advance for the past couple of years -- please see the SBSC Facebook page for details. (\*Link Below\*)*** *The Swerve 'n' Curve Annual Rally is organized and run by the South Bay Scooter Club ([http://www.southbayscooterclub.com](http://www.southbayscooterclub.com)),* ***The MAIN Event is NOT run/organized by LA Scooter Group!*** *FYI - Large rallies such as this — with hundreds of scooters on the ride — aren't as structured as our smaller/standard LASG group rides.* **LASG Itinerary:** Meet at Ralph's on Admiralty Way at \~9:20-ish AM. Please park on the north end of the lot, along Mindanao Way. The LA Scooter Group, ride to the ride will depart at 10:00 am. Please come early if you want to make sure to get fully caffeinated before we depart. Don't show up at 9:55 am expecting to have time for a leisurely coffee or breakfast. The closest gas stations are on Lincoln Blvd., east of Ralph's. There is also a gas station near the rally meetup in Torrance, \~17.5 miles from our meetup. Our tentative route to the MAIN SBSC S&C Meetup: https://goo.gl/maps/5KPHVTbe1DZA65to6 *There is only one tricky part: At Crenshaw, do NOT turn left -- instead, go through the intersection and immediately turn into the **SKETCHERS** (Not Sponsored\*) parking lot on the right and regroup. Once the whole group is reassembled in the **SKETCHERS** parking lot, we will exit onto Crenshaw and continue to the rally starting point.* The route is simple, but long, with many stoplights. Traffic WILL break the group up -- don't worry about catching up, just keep going down PCH. We'll regroup before the big turn at Crenshaw. (And unless you see a Norms Restaurant on your right, you didn't miss the turn.) **The route is friendly for all scooters.** Once at the rally gathering, we'll hang out for about 30 minutes to an hour, checking out scooters and socializing as other groups and riders arrive. ***Event info from the Swerve 'N' Curve Facebook event page:*** https://www.facebook.com/events/1790353505521919/ ***More info DIRECT from the S&C Facebook Event Page:*** Come out for the 26th year of the longest-running scooter rally in L.A., SWERVE 'N' CURVE (#26)!! SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12th: 11 AM: Meet at the Gen Korean BBQ House restaurant in Torrance (corner of Crenshaw & Lomita Blvds). MAPS will be given out before the ride. Be sure to get one. PLEASE GAS UP BEFORE THE RIDE, as we will NOT be stopping for gas on the route. 12noon: Ride leaves for the original, and often-copied, SOUTH BAY SWERVE 'N' CURVE ROUTE through Palos Verdes. After doing the beautiful Swerve 'N' Curve route, we will be ending the ride at our main ride destination, TBD. There will also be a 50/50 RAFFLE and a SCOOTER SHOW, with awards for Best Vintage & Best Modern Scooters given out after the judging. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE COMMENT BELOW! We hope to see everyone there!
