An easy ride out to Zetland via Marrickville. Meet at Pioneers Memorial Park, Norton Street, Leichhardt, 8 30am. We will ride along the Greenway to Dulwich Hill, then to Marrickville and Zetland. Coffee, then an exploration of the area, return via Redfern. Mostly on cycleways with a few roads. Approx 35km. If the weather is too wet, the ride will be cancelled. Check Meetup for notifications. Riders must be a 2026 financial member ($10 cash on day accepted). (First time riders can trial a ride and will then be asked to join) Please be considerate to others. ***For Bike Leichhardt financial RIDE LEADERS only, who were unable to attend the FIRST RIDE LEADERS' WORKSHOP in August.*** **This second workshop has been scheduled for you for Saturday NOVEMBER 14, 2026.** To review the key findings of the recent member & ride leader surveys, discuss ride leadership issues & enjoy a relaxed lunch together. Arrive in 'The Studio' of the Clubhouse of Levande Cardinal Freeman Village at 9am for 9.15 am workshop start. Tea & coffee available in the room so have a cuppa while we think... The workshop wraps up around 12.15 then lunch in the cafe next door. Venue is 'The Studio', upstairs in the Clubhouse (Reception) at Levande Cardinal Freeman Village 137 Victoria St. Ashfield Walking distance from Ashfield train station. or Bus 413 from Haymarket (next to Central Railway) brings you right to the village. Eastern Sydney Coastal Explorer

A relaxed morning bike ride with plenty of stops to catch your breath enjoy the fabulous harbour views and coastal scenery. *This ride starts early to avoid the traffic that builds up around the beaches and harbourside suburbs throughout the day.* We'll ride (easy pace, mostly on quieter streets and shared paths) along on- and off-road cycleways and back to Bondi Junction (ETA 11.30am). **Refer to the ride route map for a more detailed description.** *The ride will go ahead in a fine drizzle but not heavy rain - please check the site on the morning of the ride for any weather-related updates!* **You must RSVP in order to attend the ride.** Please make sure you UPDATE your RSVP if you cannot make it as nobody wants to be waiting for a no-show. **Disclaimer:** *By signing up for this event you acknowledge that you are personally responsible for your own safety, and that you are participating in the event entirely at your own risk. Jacarandas at Neutral Bay

Meet at the gazebo in Pioneers Memorial Park in Leichhardt at 9.50 am for a 10 am start for this sedate approx 22 klm meander. We'll head over the Anzac Bridge, over the Harbour Bridge, onto the eastern side of Milsons Point station, down Clark Rd, right into McDougall St to experience this avenue of Jacarandas. We'll park the bikes in Milson park to take our time on foot under the purple canopy. After revelling in the luxurious lilac we'll meander along Elamanga Ave to the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, onto Kirribilli Ave past Kirribilli and Admiralty Houses to Lady Gowrie lookout. Onto Bradfield Park, up Alfred St to Cliff & Lavender Sts, into Harbour View Cr. Park the bikes to explore Wendy Whitelys secret garden. Back over the bridge for a drink or lunch at the Lord Nelson Hotel. After a break we'll head back to the starting point at Leichhardt. Bring a helmet and tools to repair a flat tyre. Water, sunblock, Opal card if you want to bail out at Milsons Point station. Please decline asap in MeetUp if you can’t attend and stay away if feeling unwell. This will be a sedate wander. Guildford Historic House Linnwood via M4 Return Via Rookwood

We can celebrate the opening of the Metro to Hurlstone Park by meeting at HURLSTONE PARK METRO CAR PARK IN FLOSS ST (several other options of transport also available). We will join the Cooks Rr Cycle path from here, ride to Bicentennial Park then onto the M4 cycleway to GUILDFORD to visit the HISTORIC LINNWOOD HOUSE FOR THE OPEN DAY. Here you have a choice of paying $5 entry to view the house, and exhibits and buy a Devonshire Tea OR stay outside and look at all the Historic Mercedes Benzes & various American cars. I hope there will be a coffee cart, Bar-B-Que & Mr Whippy on the front lawn! After the merriment we will return via roads through BERALLA & LIDCOMBE TO ROOKWOOD CEMETERY, rejoining the Cooks River cycleway back to Hurlstone Park. There is the option of taking the train from Guildford if you do not want to return via the roads. Riders should be confident on roads and in traffic. A mix of cyclepath and roads. Cristian’s 100th Walk as Host! Circular Quay to Bondi Beach via Rose Bay

**To celebrate my 100th walk as a host, what more could I offer than one of the best walks in Sydney? Possibly with a Rivareno gelato or two along the way!** **I know I have just completed a gelato walk, but for me “too much gelato” has no meaning.** **We will start at Circular Quay opposite Wharf 2 at 10.00am.** **From here will walk around the Opera House (we might even see the seal that suns itself on the steps), through the Botanical Gardens to Lady Macquarie’s Chair for lovely views of the city.** **Then we will walk past Woolloomooloo Wharf on to Potts Point, where there is a Rivareno Gelateria which opens at 11am! We will be first people in line! Let’s call this a "late breakfast”.** **From here we will make our way through Elizabeth Bay, Rushcutters Bay, Double Bay, Point Piper to Rose Bay where we will have lunch. You can bring your own or buy something at the café.** **Then onto Bondi Beach for a possible second Rivareno gelato! Epic Adventure! 15KM** This is a fantastic out of Sydney adventure including the historic village of **Bargo**, then **Nepean Dam**, a **Sausage Sizzle** lunch and refreshments at historic **Bargo Hotel**! The walk sections are: 1. **Arrive Bargo Station**, morning tea 2. **Bargo Station to Nepean Dam;** Explore Dam, Free BBQ's and boiling water to use; 7.5KM. 3. **Nepean Dam to Bargo Hotel:** refreshment before train return to Sydney; 7.5KM. **NO SHOPS, SO MEMBERS MUST BRING FOOD!** **I ENCOURAGE MEMBERS TO BRING BBQ FOOD, AS THERE ARE EXCELLENT BBQ FACILTIES AT NEPEAN DAM.** We should be back in Sydney Central Station by 6:30PM. **Distance**: 15KM **Type of Walk:** Access roads and fire trails. **Difficulty**: Medium. **Walking Pace:** Average pace of 4.5/hr. **Meeting Place and Transport:** Catch the Macarthur Train **departing Central Station Platform 23 at 7:25AM,** arriving Campbeltown Platform 3 at 8:22AM. Taronga Zoo Wharf to Neutral Bay

It’s time to smell the roses and check out the jacarandas on this scenic walk. We start at Taronga Zoo Wharf and follow the coast past Bradleys Head, Sirius Cove, Mosman Bay, Cremorne Point and on to Neutral Bay viewing roses and jacarandas on the way. We will have lunch at The Oaks. Start location: Taronga Zoo Wharf. (Meet outside the wharf entrance.) Transport: The 9.50am F2 Taronga Zoo Ferry from Wharf 4 arrives at Taronga Zoo at 10.02am. We start walking at 10.05am. Distance: Whatever your GPS says at the end of the walk🤣 Terrain: Bush tracks, sealed roads and a couple of steep hills. Time: About 3 hours walking WHAT TO BRING: Please wear good bushwalking shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen, rain jacket, first aid kit and 2L water.
