Pratique du Zen - Zazen

Pratique du Zen - Zazen

Sat, Oct 31, 8:15 AM
From Centre Zen Hakusan

English Class: Debating

English Class: Debating

Tue, Oct 27, 5:30 PM
From Daily English Conversation
5.0

This is a one-hour class where we try to tackle 2 different debate topics. The first is more lighthearted (such as “Chopsticks are better than forks”) and the second is a bit more serious/controversial (such as “It is a human right for citizens to own guns”). As this is at heart an English class, I take notes of pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary mistakes which we correct together periodically throughout the event. In some cases, other examples are brought up to illustrate a grammar concept, pronunciation quirk, or vocabulary use case. But why debates? To me, a conversation becomes very interesting with some level of disagreement. However, it is extremely frustrating when you have to keep quiet because can't put your ideas into words quickly enough. Debates are one of the best ways to sharpen your fluency. In short, this class is for anyone who wants to practice quick-thinking, concise arguments, respectful disagreement, and persuasion in English 😊 Looking forward to debating with you ! David Recommended Level: B1+ Cost: €8 ⏰ 18h30 📍 Le Grand Breguet. I will be wearing the American flag bandana 🇺🇸

Sun, Oct 25, 4:30 PM
From Relations hommes‑femmes : comprendre les tensions actuelles
