London Society WALK - Holland Park

Have you ever wanted to be immersed within either the city or nature in the form of a walk and socialise at the same time? If so, this may be the right walk for you. Welcome to another one of the WALK events where you have the opportunity to explore all the scenic routes I’ll execute whether there’s nature within, whether we get immersed within the city and feel great about yourself.

With this particular walk, we will be walking through the entirety of Holland Park. What was once rural Kensington has become a beautiful local landmark which has not only survived WW2 but also offers the beautiful elements of nature including a Kyoto Garden. After this walk, we may do an aftermath within the area. We’ll let democracy decide. FREE Walk - Richmond Riverside & Park Walk

Join us for a steady circular walk that combines Richmond’s royal parkland, peaceful riverside paths and one of London’s most celebrated viewpoints. This easy loop starts and finishes at Richmond Station and follows a mix of broad park trails, quiet residential streets and the scenic Thames Path. We’ll keep a steady, comfortable pace suitable for anyone confident with moderate distance and light elevation. Please note - this is a pre-lunch walk and we shall aim to finish before 2pm. ### **📍 Meeting Details & Distance** * **Meeting Point:** Outside Richmond Station * **Meeting Time:** 10:00 AM * **Start Time:** 10:15 AM (sharp) * **Distance:** Up to 15 km (circular) * **Difficulty:** Easy ### **🌿 What You’ll See** As we enter Richmond Park — the largest of London’s Royal Parks — expect wide open grasslands, ancient oak trees and the chance to spot red and fallow deer roaming freely. The route passes historic lodges and open viewpoints before reaching Pembroke Lodge, where you’ll enjoy sweeping views across the Thames Valley. We then descend towards the river and join the Thames Path for a calm stretch along the water. QTIPOC Picnic (for LGBTQ+ People of Colour + allied guests)

Are you LGBTQIA+ and a **Person of Colour?** Do you want to meet others of similar backgrounds, in a relaxed and welcoming space? Look no further! **Respectful allies are welcome as *guests*** on this occasion, on the understanding that this event is a Safe Space for QTIPOC. **We acknowledge there is no UK Black Pride this year, where allies would ordinarily be welcome.** We recognise that some attendees may be in interracial relationships and may wish to invite their partner/s. **For clarity, allies must be attending with a Person of Colour.** Join Aaron for a friendly, picnic ***(or should that be "POC-nic!")*** in **Canbury Gardens!** No agenda - just food, fun and friends! Some refreshments will be provided, however bringing your own food/drinks are also strongly encouraged. Whether that's home-cooked delicacies, baked goods or something from the shops, it's the thought that counts! Perhaps there's a National Dish you'd like to share from your culture or you're known for your delicious fairy cakes! We ask that any homemade items are clearly labelled with ingredients in case of any allergens. We shall meet at/by the **Bandstand at 1pm,** which will hopefully provide the right level of light and shade. The Bandstand has sloped access and is also near food, benches and the toilets (located inside The Boaters Inn pub). Remember to bring sun cream /water/something to sit on like a picnic blanket. Feel free to bring any games/ music/ instruments/ a sports ball - anything that'll enhance the vibes! If you have any ideas for what you would like to see for local QTIPOC, we will be more than happy to hear your suggestions. At each event, we discuss venues for upcoming socials, so please bring suggestions for us to vote on. **Nervous about not knowing anyone?** Try not to be!
