Vegan Potluck and Walk to the Doris McCarthy Trail/ Gates Gully

Sun, May 31, 4:15 PM
From Toronto Vegan Meetup
4.7

We are planning to have monthly potlucks (or picnics in the spring/ summer at local parks) or other activities including potluck/ picnic + hikes/ walks in the warmer weather. This potluck will start with an arrival time of 12:15 p.m. We will start eating at 1 PM SHARP followed by a walk (see below). There is an outdoor picnic area at the centre with picnic tables, so if it is a nice day we can eat outside. PLEASE bring your own utensils, plates, bowls, and cup as the centre does not always have an adequate supply of these. You are responsible for your own clean-up and if you borrow the items at the centre please clean them. All are welcome veg-curious, vegetarian, and vegan as long as what you bring to the potluck is vegan! 3 p.m.: After eating we will go for a walk to Doris McCarthy Trail/ Gates Gully. Here is some information about this walk: [https://www.blogto.com/.../doris-mccarthy-trail-gates.../](https://www.blogto.com/.../doris-mccarthy-trail-gates.../?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAYnJpZBExR0ZMUmVUUHhPMkZNdTNQUXNydGMGYXBwX2lkEDIyMjAzOTE3ODgyMDA4OTIAAR6IjVP2Y2F-Kajh1Onnb1MM2V7bk5O3RrPJcSg_M6vsuHkK5_jocjCxkQo4VA_aem_5DqbkP8qqq7dLLiJdtsDeA) We will go at a slow, easy pace and take breaks as needed. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes. Note: If the weather does not cooperate we will stay inside and play games. It is too steep to walk the trail when it's raining. We hope that you will join us!

**Join us at Thrive Longevity Training for an open house and community social.** This is a chance to meet our members, connect with the Thrive team, see the studio, and learn how our longevity based programming works. At Thrive, we are not just running random workouts. We use structured training blocks so members can build strength, improve conditioning, recover better, and actually see progress over time. Right now, our members are training in 6 week strength tracking blocks where we are measuring key lifts and movement patterns so we can see what is improving, where people need support, and how each person is progressing. You’ll get to learn more about: • Our longevity focused small group training • How we combine strength, cardio, recovery, and mindset • Why we track main lifts over 6 weeks • How our programming helps members build long term strength, fitness, and confidence • What makes the Thrive community different & Witness Award Ceremony For our Most Engaged Members There will be light snacks and refreshments, and you’ll have a chance to connect casually with members and coaches. Telugu Community First Meet Up

Sat, May 30, 11:00 PM
From Toronto Telugu Community

The wait is finally over! It's time to have our first ever Telugu Meetup and we can't wait to see you all at Amsterdam BewHouse to have an amazing time together! We thought it would be ideal to have a catchup in the downtown as our first meetup as this would allow everyone to socialise, network and get to know one another. Get to the venue between 6:30 and 7 PM. The evening will start off with a bit of an intro to each other. Most importantly, we would like to hear your ideas on the type of activities and events you'd like us to organise and the locations that may suit all of us. We can hang around and then head out for dinner if time permits. Please note that there is no entry fee for this event. Its just PYO (pay your own). Please do RSVP as that would help us make the bookings. Please feel free to message us if you have any questions. Let the fun begin! Cheers
