From Shy Peoples Drawing Club

Hello everyone 👩‍🎨 Bring any art supplies you like and a picnic blanket or chair. We will just be sat on the grass outside the main yellow building doing art together. If you aren’t sure what to draw the club has a weekly drawing theme, just ask me what the prompt is 😊 There is also a small cafe inside the building for those who want a drink while they draw ☕️ ✏️ We welcome all artists of any skill level or medium, Whether you’re a beginner or pro, traditional or digital, absolutely anyone can join. ⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️ Please do not attend if you are sick. I have multiple chronic illnesses so my immune system is extremely weak. Keep everyone safe by staying home if you are unwell. ☔️ If the weather changes there is a small cafe inside we can move into. —————————————————— Check out our instagram @shypeoplesdrawingclub to see more about our awesome group. We also have a Discord group for online events if you would like to join and chat with more artists. ✨

Sketchy Behaviour with Roxy Rawhide (Creative Art Workshop)

Sketchy Behaviour with Roxy Rawhide (Creative Art Workshop)

Wed, Jun 10, 9:00 AM
From Pride of our Footscray
4.8

Adults have basically been robbed of the right to play. Creativity started needing a purpose, a product, or at least a gallery invite. Meanwhile, it’s human to dance, it’s human to sing, and it’s human to draw, especially poorly! Sketchy Behaviour is here to break that spell. ([Link to tickets here](https://www.trybooking.com/DIGHO)) Doors open at 6pm, settle in and get your drinks at the bar (mocktails available). At 7pm, the night begins: • Guided drawing activities with your host, prompts and visual inspiration provided • Three activities/games per night a mix of collaborative chaos and solo scribbling • Breaks between rounds to regroup, hit the bathroom, top up a drink, grab some nibbles, and mingle with fellow doodlers It’s all about connecting through process rather than polishing a product. Expect laughter, strange drawings, and surprising conversations. In a world drowning in increasingly polished AI art, making something imperfect is a revolutionary act. Supplies provided. Masks welcome. Sharing your weird creations, highly recommended. Come draw like a kid, laugh like a fool, and leave with memories instead of masterpieces. Note: Pride of our Footscray is located on the first floor of a building with no elevator and is therefore not wheelchair accessible. We apologise for our reduced accessibility.

From Freeda — Open Art Studio Melbourne

## 🌿 **Important: Please read before RSVPing** **Freeda — A Community Creative Space** returns as a welcoming, donation-based space to **slow down, create freely, and reconnect** — with yourself and with others. ✨ **Bookings must be completed through Humanitix.** Please note: **RSVPing on Meetup does not reserve your place**, as spaces are limited. 🎟 **Please secure your place here:** [https://events.humanitix.com/copy-of-freeda-open-art-studio?_gl=1*1fycmmo*_gcl_au*MTU5MTM1NTUwNS4xNzc3MDAzMjkx*_ga*MTA5NjU5OTgwMi4xNzQ4MjM4Mzc0*_ga_LHKW5FR9N6*czE3Nzg5NzczMzEkbzQwJGcxJHQxNzc4OTgwMjY1JGo0JGwwJGgw](https://events.humanitix.com/copy-of-freeda-open-art-studio?_gl=1*1fycmmo*_gcl_au*MTU5MTM1NTUwNS4xNzc3MDAzMjkx*_ga*MTA5NjU5OTgwMi4xNzQ4MjM4Mzc0*_ga_LHKW5FR9N6*czE3Nzg5NzczMzEkbzQwJGcxJHQxNzc4OTgwMjY1JGo0JGwwJGgw) Freeda offers a calm, pressure-free environment where **creativity, connection, and belonging** can be explored at your own pace. This experience is inspired by the natural human need to **create, play, and connect.** Through simple, open-ended creative invitations, you're encouraged to explore art in a way that feels supportive and personal. **No art experience is needed.** **All materials are provided.** **Gentle guidance is available** if you need a starting point. There is **no right or wrong way** to take part, and **no expectation** to create something finished or “good.” You’re welcome to move at your own pace — making art, experimenting quietly, observing, or simply **being present.** **Freeda is not art therapy.** Rather, it is a community creative experience that values **process over product, freedom over perfection, and connection over comparison.** **Come exactly as you are** — curious, tired, uncertain, creative, or simply in need of a slower moment. Everyone is welcome 🌿

A Quiet Art Evening

A Quiet Art Evening

Sat, Jun 6, 8:00 AM
From PaintMeet - Community Art Group

A Quiet Art Evening (Self-Guided) Saturday, 2 May, 6:00pm — 8:00pm Venue: Box Hill (close to Box Hill Central; detailed address will be sent upon RSVP) This is a quiet, self-guided (untutored) space to slow down, create, and spend time alongside others. Bring your own materials and something you’d like to work on. It’s an evening to create unhurriedly in a shared space — to make, reflect, and simply be. Through art, we hope to create a gentle space for connection, encouragement, and shared presence. We hope this will become a simple monthly rhythm — a place to keep returning to, to create, connect, and enjoy the process together. If this resonates with you, feel free to RSVP here. PS. A $5 contribution each participant will help cover venue hire, as well as tea, coffee, and biscuits. Limited places – Please RSVP or direct message us to check availability
