Hi, My Parish supports a village & school in Letefoho, East Timor including paying for kids school fees, uniforms, supporting basic food projects such as a piggery, supplying clean water and whatever needs they ask us for help with. I have visited the village & it is very third world - minimal electricity at times, no hot water etc but the kids are cheerful & hopeful for their future - education helps open up possibilities We are having a fund raising evening at Roseville cinema on Thursday 13 August with all profits going directly to the village community. This charming, funny, heartfelt film inspires us to believe that we all have the capacity to be unlikely heroes in our own stories. The audience is transported back to the nostalgic 1990’s, to the slopes of the punishing Mont Ventoux, in Southern France, to witness the drama of a battle between two giants ALL in the mix and a great reminder of why we love to ride a bike.
