Hi, My Parish supports a village & school in Letefoho, East Timor including paying for kids school fees, uniforms, supporting basic food projects such as a piggery, supplying clean water and whatever needs they ask us for help with. I have visited the village & it is very third world - minimal electricity at times, no hot water etc but the kids are cheerful & hopeful for their future - education helps open up possibilities We are having a fund raising evening at Roseville cinema on Thursday 13 August with all profits going directly to the village community. Tickets can be bought via the QR code or the trybooking link below. Please note - No ticket sales on the night. https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1615502 Socialising from 7pm & movie starts about 7.45 Love some of you to join me! Any queries text me on 0498826506 Ta Maggy

BIG BIKE FILM NIGHT

BIG BIKE FILM NIGHT

Tue, Aug 18, 8:00 AM
From Bike Leichhardt
4.8

ADVANCE NOTICE The Big Bike Film Night is on again in August - always a wonderful, eclectic, wacky mix of films. You choose the time (Two screenings on the same night) at the Palace Cinemas Moore Park with one cinema starting at 6pm, the other starting at 7pm. Book tickets online: [https://bigbikefilmnight.nz/buy-tickets/big-bike-film-night-australia/](https://bigbikefilmnight.nz/buy-tickets/big-bike-film-night-australia/) The 2026 treasure chest of films includes: • a dazzling mountain bike ride exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Norway, embracing the magic of the midnight sun • an inspiring film that captures the wettest, most miserable riding conditions imaginable • a compelling story about perseverance, showcasing the challenges and triumphs of navigating daily life following a life-altering injury, and how adaptive design has transformed and enriched the journey forward • a moving film that follows a father and son’s journey as they take on one of life’s most meaningful milestones - riding a bike together as a family • and crowning the night off... we all love an underdog tale. This charming, funny, heartfelt film inspires us to believe that we all have the capacity to be unlikely heroes in our own stories. The audience is transported back to the nostalgic 1990’s, to the slopes of the punishing Mont Ventoux, in Southern France, to witness the drama of a battle between two giants ALL in the mix and a great reminder of why we love to ride a bike.
