Please note : Everyone is welcome at the Woollahra Painting Meetup from first time beginners to advanced artists. Our Sunday painting sessions include both group and individual guidance from our regular professional artist and tutor, Christina Rogers. Please bring your own art gear including: a canvas or sketch paper, paints, brushes, easel, cleanup paper, etc. We have tables & chairs for those that don't have an easel. We mostly use oil paints but you are welcome to use whatever paint medium you prefer. Please avoid the use of solvents. If you wish to sketch, please bring pencils or charcoal, etc. Come early to setup around 9:45am as technique training usually happens within the first 1/2 hour from 10:00-10:30am. Hot drinks are available for you to make in the kitchen area. A fee of $25 - is payable on the day. Please bring the right change if possible. We look forward to seeing you!

**NOTE:** This event is posted on multiple Meetup groups. **ABOUT:** Explore the leading art galleries of Darlinghurst on Saturday, August 1. National Art School included! This walk is beginner-friendly, and all are welcome - whether you've engaged with art before or not. Exchange numbers and make new friends as you listen to interesting stories of Australian and international artists... **MEETING TIME:** 11:00 – 11:10 AM. **MEETING POINT:** Meet outside "Museum" train station entry/exit on the corner of Liverpool and Elizabeth Streets. **START AND PROGRAMME:** We will begin at 11:10 AM, moving towards Liverpool Street. Midway, we will take a short break. **END:** We will end by 2:00 PM. Easy walk back to Town Hall train station. You may also wait for drinks and snacks and more chatting with group members, if interested. **PRICE OF TOUR:** Please pay $15 by cash on arrival. You will be introduced to basic pouring techniques and art-theory. Followed by a demonstration of pouring paint. You get to create your own painting on a 15×20cm canvas. We then discuss how you found the experience and what you will like to try out perhaps for next time. Please note paintings usually take 3 to 4 days to copleately dry, the varnish can be applied to finish them after that to complete the artwork. If you would like to take them home on the day, please bring a tray or cardboard for ease of transportation. Wearing old clothes and sneakers to the workshop are recomended (just in case of paint spilling). Before the workshop You may like to google flow art techiques on utube, for Ideas of techniques you may like to try. Just come along and enjoy the experience and the fun in flow art.

This is a space to let go of pressure, quiet the mind, and reconnect with your natural creativity.
