Interested in improving your public speaking skills? Want to meet new people and engage in interesting discussions? Hoping to make new business and life connections? If so we welcome you to attend the next Greenspeakers meeting. Greenspeakers is a Toastmasters club that was founded by Green Party members to provide a forum for engaged progressive activists and professionals to improve their public speaking skills. Guests of all political persuasions are welcome and we have no official connection to any political party. All attendees will have a chance to practice public speaking and will learn helpful tricks to become a more confident public speaker and communicator. Hope to see you there! Please note that our meetings require active listening and it's expected all in attendance will be respectful to each speaker by giving them your attention and refrain from making noise during speaking roles. Know Your Voice: Find Your Power
Tue, Oct 27, 3:00 PM# Know Your Voice: Find Your Power **A live, 90-minute Zoom masterclass for greater confidence, presence, and self-expression** **Cost:** $7 **Where:** Live on Zoom **Length:** 90 minutes **Choose one date:** * **Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM Eastern** * **Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 6:30 PM Eastern** [https://accentjweinman.com/know-your-voice-find-your-power/](https://accentjweinman.com/know-your-voice-find-your-power/) When people come to me for accent work, the conversation is almost always about more than pronunciation. They want to feel comfortable speaking up. To express their ideas without second-guessing themselves. To be heard clearly—and feel more like themselves when speaking English. Pronunciation is part of that. But so can the way you breathe, the tension you carry, your speaking habits, and what you’re thinking or anticipating before you say a word. **That’s what we’ll explore in this masterclass.** While this isn’t an accent reduction class, it addresses something that often brings people to accent work in the first place: wanting greater confidence and freedom in how they communicate. I’m Judy Weinman, a speech-language pathologist and communication coach. For more than 30 years, I’ve helped people communicate with greater clarity, ease, and expression. I’d love to share this part of my work with you. ## What we’ll explore * **The connection between mind, body, breath, and voice**—and how each influences the others. * How tension and habits can make your voice feel smaller, less expressive, or harder to use. * Ways to bring more resonance, warmth, and conviction into your speech. * How to begin changing patterns such as rushing, holding your breath, or fading at the ends of sentences. **You won’t just hear about these ideas. You’ll try them.** I’ll guide you through practical exercises so you can notice what changes in your voice—and how you feel when you speak. You can participate as much or as little as you’d like. There’s no need to prepare anything, and no one will be put on the spot. ## The details **Cost:** $7 **Where:** Live on Zoom **Length:** 90 minutes **Choose one date:** * **Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM Eastern** * **Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 6:30 PM Eastern** It’s the same masterclass on both dates—choose whichever works for you. **This is a live-only class; there will be no replay.** Please reserve the time so you can take part in the exercises. Sessions will be recorded for my own use, and short excerpts may be used in future promotional materials. If you prefer not to appear, you’re welcome to keep your camera off and use only your first name. You can still take part in all the exercises. ## Reserve your place **Please complete your $7 registration here:** [https://accentjweinman.com/know-your-voice-find-your-power/](https://accentjweinman.com/know-your-voice-find-your-power/) **A Meetup RSVP alone does not register you for the masterclass.** Use the link above to choose your date and complete registration. This is work I love sharing, and I’d be delighted to have you join me. Judy
