Ladies Evening walk around Cheam

Thu, Aug 27, 5:30 PM
From Ladies Walk, Talk & More

We’ll meet outside Kent House, just by Cheam Station and head off at 6.30pm for a relaxed evening walk around Cheam, aiming to walk for at least an hour. We’ll follow a circular route, so we’ll always finish back at Cheam Station where we started. The pace will be comfortable and conversational — the idea is to get some fresh air and gentle exercise while having a proper chat and getting to know each other along the way. Please bring some water and wear a comfortable pair of trainers or walking shoes. Come as you are, enjoy the walk and the company, and hopefully make a few new local connections along the way.

**Join our [MAILING LIST](https://thoughtexperiments.kit.com/59860c6d0d), if you'd like to receive invitations to future events (some of which will be hosted off of meetup).** What is a Zine and why should I make one? Zines are handmade booklets. They can be used to share information, ideas, stories, art (etc.). Zine making creates opportunities to: * spend time exploring ideas * hone in on something you love or care about: a cause, a message, a skill, a place (the possibilities are endless) * get creative with collage, drawing, writing, printmaking (etc.) * produce compelling and unique booklets that you can print cheaply and share with friends and strangers offline After lots of creative brainstorming of their own, Bonny and Ellie have landed on zine making as the perfect way to both open up space for playful, low stakes creativity, and focus their minds on bite sized projects. **Join our [MAILING LIST](https://thoughtexperiments.kit.com/59860c6d0d), if you'd like to receive invitations to future events (some of which will be hosted off of meetup).**

The [London Radical Bookfair](https://londonradicalbookfair.wordpress.com/) is back in south London providing much needed space for writers and readers to exchange ideas and build connections across movements and communities! This year, visitors can expect a stimulating mix of stalls, books, pamphlets, magazines and zines covering subjects including politics, history, feminism, anti-racism, climate justice, queer liberation, trade unionism, internationalism and community organising. The fair will also provide opportunities to meet writers, campaigners and independent publishers working at the forefront of radical thought and activism. If you are an avid reader and value political and independent publishing, or want to enjoy a social afternoon centered on radical thought and activism, join us on Sunday 6th of September for this exciting bookfair crawl + social event! **Event plan** We will meet at the Norwood Junction Station around 12 and head to the fair thereafter. If you are late, don't worry, you can drop us a message and catch up. Details on the workshops are not up yet, but will be added as soon as available. Keep an eye on this description to spot your favorite activities! After the event we will catch up at the local pub. We're committed to making every one of our events welcoming and safe for everybody. Our spaces are non-partisan, but not apolitical. Racism, sexism, antisemitism, classism, forms of discrimination based on sexual preference or gender identity: all these are obviously way out of line. If you are a victim of bigotry or harrasment at any of our events, please raise this with an organiser who will act appropriately. We broadly follow this code of conduct: [https://wiki.dbzer0.com/the-anarchist-code-of-conduct/](https://wiki.dbzer0.com/the-anarchist-code-of-conduct/)
