The Board Games event is a fun, sociable and charitable event We are a fun, friendly and kind group of people mostly in our 20s, 30s and 40s. Beginners are welcome! We are a very inclusive and social group and we teach people how to play games they have not played before :) We provide a variety of 40+ board games. The games usually take 5 or 10 minutes to learn and 30 to 60 minutes to play. **Time** * Board Games Start time: 630pm * Board Games end time: 10pm * Eat / Drink/ Socialise at a nearby pub afterwards **Location** 30 Leeds St, Toronto, ON M6G 3R8 (Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Holy Protection) The entrance to the board game room is at the back of the Church. There is a sign on the door that says BOARD GAMES GROUP. Please use the map provided on the event page also. Payment **There are two ways to pay** **$10 by Cash - coins are not accepted. Only bills.** **$11.55 by Debit/Credit card** **Charity Donations** * This is a not-for-profit initiative. Revenue go towards covering costs of the event including venue, insurance marketing, refreshments and board games. Any surplus revenue is donated to charity **Food and drink** * Everyone will get cookies/candy for free * Cups will be provided for tap water * Bring your own food and drink. * Please do not bring CHIPS AND CRACKERS as they make a mess and are greasy * **ALCOHOL IS PROHIBITED AND WE HAVE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY ON THIS - there are no second chances** Photos will be taken at the event and posted publicly for marketing purposes. Please only attend if you are ok with this or tell me when you arrive that you do not want to be in any photos The event is officially hosted by Ace of Math Learning Program Ontario Inc.

Welcome to the Sunday meetup for Toronto Heavy Boardgamers @ Face-to-Face Games! The purpose of this event is to meet up to play heavier / longer board games, and have fun while doing it! We will start off small and if there is sufficient interest we will add capacity for future events. **Scheduling details:** \- If you have a specific game that you would like to post for\, feel free to do so in comments\. In your post\, include the name of the game\, number of players needed for the game\, whether you are offering a teach or not\, and the start time \(please try to start before noon if possible\)\. \- If you would like to join a specific game that has already been posted\, feel free to comment on it confirming your participation\. Make sure you have noted the details posted by the host\. \- You are of course also welcome to organize / join games onsite on the day itself\, assuming sufficient players / tables are available **Rules around COVID:** \- Given this is a public event\, we respectfully ask that only i\) fully vaccinated individuals\, and ii\) those not exhibiting any COVID symptoms\, participate\. June's meetup is an official event at Toronto Games Week! Yayyy! Our June event has 2 parts! Part 1: Escape room 8:45-10:30 pm MEET AT THE FOUNTAIN at Casa Loma for an escape room! This part requires registration and advance payment so we can ensure everyone is accommodated. Part 2: Pub hang and Kick-off Party for Many Happy Returns - Immersive Show, at Toronto Fringe 2026! 11 pm-1 am Join us after the escape room for a Meetup at the SECOND FLOOR OF PAUPERS PUB, ANNEX, to celebrate the Kick-off of our leader Julie's incredible immersive show, Many Happy Returns, which will be playing at Toronto Fringe 2026! No registration or payment is required for the pub hang and kick-off party. Now, more about each part: Part 1 - ESCAPE ROOM - 8:45-10:30 pm: RSVP PROCEDURE: \*\*\*To secure your RSVP to the Escape Room part of this event, you must complete TWO steps. King of the Bootleggers: "In 1920’s Toronto, prohibition is at its peak and at the top of the bootlegging empire sits notorious gangster, Rocco Perri. But if you've got the brains the guts for it, all that could change, and someone new could take the throne.In the sordid world of swingin’ speakeasies, everyone’s out for a piece of the pie. You receive an invitation to a secret meeting at Rocco’s infamous bar. \***This game is not wheelchair accessible.** There are 3 steps to get to the door of the Coachman’s Stable House and a flight of stairs to access the intro/outro space, as well as the washroom. Please see the Secret City website for additional info." This room is 1.5 hours in length, including a key intro and outro. Important details about the escape rooms only: 1. We will book the spots for the escape room, so no planning needed! 2. This is a prepaid event, so you must pay the fee to join in. 3. Please arrive at the listed time. This is scheduled 15 mins ahead of the room time so that everyone can arrive, check in and sign waivers if applicable. 4. No shows or last minute cancellations after the booking has been paid for will not receive refunds due to the non-refundable nature of the escape room businesses. 5. FIVARS 2026: Festival of International Virtual & Augmented Reality Stories

[FIVARS - Festival of International Virtual & Augmented Reality Stories](https://fivars.net) 2026 is shaping up to be one of the best in its 12-year history. Location-based festival in Toronto runs June 15-19th. This is an incredibly rare opportunity to see Canadian, North American, and World premieres of the best new #immersive content from all over the planet - Canada, China, Argentina, Italy, Denmark, USA, Netherlands, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Portugal, Ireland, Taiwan, Japan, Brazil, and more, all under one roof. Online theater for passive works and live, remote VR performances continues for an additional 2 weeks. Please note: FIVARS will be live in Toronto for only 5 days. Tickets are for 1 x 2-hour block at a specific time and date. More than half of the catalog can only be seen in person, which includes all the interactive pieces. All tickets include access to the online theater, which features all dome and spherical video content and runs for 14 days following the LBE show. All tickets will have access to any live remote VR performances or WebXR pieces. They will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
