Outside food or drinks are not allowed.**)** 🕥 **Registration Time** **10:00 am - 10:30 am** * The tournament **starts at 10:30 am.** * **Participants cannot join after the tournament begins.** Please arrive early to order a drink and complete your registration. * There are **5 rounds in total**. **Please only join if you can stay until the final round.** * **Leaving early causes issues with pairing.** * The venue is reserved until **1:15 pm**, so **we plan to finish and leave by then.** 📢 **Chess Board** **Please bring a chess board** if you have one. If there are not enough boards, participants with their own boards will have priority. **💖 Friendly Atmosphere** This is a social tournament designed to be friendly and enjoyable. Please be kind to all participants and avoid being excessively competitive. 📌 **Location** The Bode Museum Café is on the first floor. Walk up the stairs. No ticket needed; just tell the staff you’re going to the café. 🔑**The Game Format** Swiss system, 10+3, 5 rounds 👨‍👧‍👧**Player Divisions** Players are divided into two groups. \- A Group over 1300 \- C Group under 1300 \- If you wish to play in a different group from your rating\, please let the host know during registration\. **🤹🏼‍♀️ How it works** * **Registration:** Tell the host your first name and chess rating (any platform, any time control) * **Pairings:** Once registration closes, the host will pair the players. * **Tables**: You can find your table number and color (white/black) at the link below. * **The Game:** Before the tournament starts, I’ll place table numbers on the tables. Go to your assigned table. One of the players set the clock app to 10+3 (10 mins + 3s increment) and start. * **Report Results:** After the game, one of the players report the result to the host. * **Next Round:** Once all games are finished, the next round will be paired. Join us for a relaxed social chess evening in Berlin at 100 Gramm Vino. The venue has a lovely beer garden for warm evenings, as well as an indoor area if the weather is not suitable. This event is for people who enjoy chess but do not want a stiff or intimidating club atmosphere. You are welcome whether you are a complete beginner, a casual online player, or someone who already plays regularly. ♟️What to expect * Friendly and casual chess games * Beginner-friendly pairings * A host who helps you find opponents * No serious tournament pressure * English and German speakers welcome * You can come alone — many people do * Chess boards will be provided where possible * You are also welcome to bring your own board or chess clock ♟️Cooperation with another chess club We share the venue and cooperate with another local chess club that sometimes organizes small tournaments during the evening. Everybody is welcome, no matter the familiarity with the matter, as long as there is a genuine interest. **Our agenda** 1\. Briefly getting to know each other 2\. Individually reading for about 20\-30 minutes\. It can be any part of any of Ralston's books or similar material\. *No need to bring anything*. 3\. Sharing what we've read and contemplating each part silently for about 20\-30 minutes\. 4\. More exercises or reading\, depending on the sentiment of the group\. Please, please respect the invitation and leave some money on the bar - it's a café, so please behave like in a café and carry your responsibility for the chess community you are part of. More then before small business need our support. Female players, beginners and hobby players -it's our event!
