Read on...** VIVID is back, and the drone show should be cool! *(Well, let's be honest, the drone show should be "fixed" as our first VIVID walk was a fizzer and some were falling into the water as the show had technical difficulties!)* But it's great to do VIVID on a Monday - one of the least crowded days of the week... and we'll finish at my local pub as Monday's offer half-priced wings, ribs, and drinks (optional, as you may want to get home). **THE HIKE.** Let's meet at Paragon Hotel down at Circular Quay. Let's chat in whatsapp on the day so you can find me from **545pm**. We'll see the lights go on at 6pm on the dot and *see Customs House, the MCA, Syd Opera House, etc... all the way to Barangaroo, King St Wharf, and the drone show starts at 730pm finishing at 740pm. It will be crowded and hard to keep the group together, so make your own way to Sporting Globe by 4Pines. I'll already be at the table.* **Sporting Globe is my local pub, so I'll grab a table... 50% off wings, ribs, selected pints, and house wine. What a deal!!! 24 wings should be like $22, so if everybody brings $11 cash, I'll order a bunch of wings / flavours at 745pm - they'll be on the table as you arrive at the pub - just make sure everybody gets their 12 - it's def enough (if you want wings, that is). Vivid - Tuesday evening walk

Vivid is back again for three weeks! Tonight we will walk to the Barangaroo Reserve and then return south beside Darling Harbour to view the multiple Vivid artworks. Out aim will be to be somewhere near the Pyrmont Bridge between 7:30 - 7:40 to view the drone show. Let us keep our fingers crossed that the weather is suitable for the drones to fly **and they have fixed the problem which caused 89 drones to fall into the harbour last Monday.** Afterword we will adjourn to the Arthouse Hotel for a debriefing. **LIMIT 10 PEOPLE:** Any more in Vivid crowds would be worse than attempting to herd cats. **RISK:** Please remember that you attend our events at your own risk and that our Organizers do not accept any liability for any health or safety problems that occur during our events. **MEMBERSHIP:** All members will need to be Financial 2025 to join this walk. VIVID Sydney

An evening ride to enjoy the 7.30 pm Vivid Sydney Drone Show *Star-bound* followed by *Laser Lightfall*, the inaugural Vivid Sydney choreographed Laser Show and a free hourly nightly tour-de-force over Cockle Bay. Followed by a short ride around Barangaroo to Hickson Road to view the Sydney Opera House where the sails will be lit up with a major new work, *Opera Mundi* by renowned French multimedia artist Yann Nguema, known for his mesmerising projections onto significant buildings around the world. Distance : 21 km at a medium pace START AND FINISH Pioneers Memorial Park, Leichhardt **WHAT TO BRING :** Bike in good mechanical order, helmet, water, spare inner tube(s) and pump in case of puncture. 2600 Meetings exist as a forum for all interested in technology to meet and talk about events in technology-land, learn, and teach. Meetings are open to anyone of any age or level of expertise. The 2600 Australia chapter became prominent in 1999, bringing together people interested in computer security, electronic gadgetry, communications, privacy, and technology exploration in general. **Vivid Sydney Walk – Harbour Lights & Chill Vibes 💡🌉✨** Join us for a fun night out exploring Vivid Sydney — starting right from the heart of the city! We’ll meet near the **QVB Statue** (Town Hall Station exit) and make our way to **Darling Harbour**, where the waterfront comes alive with dazzling light installations and music. From there, we’ll stroll through **Barangaroo Reserve**, soaking in more vivid displays and harbour views. We’ll end the night at **Circular Quay**, where the Opera House, Customs House, and Harbour Bridge are all lit up in full glory. Vivid Photo Walk - Barangaroo to Darling Harbour

This photo walk will visit some of the light installations on display during the Vivid festival. Starting at Barangaroo and making our way to Darling Harbour in time for the 9:30 Drone Show. We anticipate that it will be fairly busy around the area, and to allow enough time to see & photograph the lights, we may not be covering all installations in these areas on the night. This is a fairly easy walk with lots of stops along the way. We are limiting this walk to only 10 members as it is too difficult to keep a large group together at such a busy event. **DURATION:** Approx 4 hours (up to you when you want to leave) **EQUIPMENT:** Camera, lenses (wide/zoom lens e.g.18-70mm). A tripod and camera remote/cable release are essential for this event. A lot of patience is needed for this event, as there are a lot of photographers and the general public at each of the displays, all of whom have their own agendas. **PERSONAL:** Comfortable walking shoes, water, umbrella/wet weather jacket (if the weather looks bad). **GETTING THERE:** BY TRAIN: Alight at Wynyard Station.
