For this month’s gathering, we’re switching things up from our last non-fiction read and diving into something a little lighter, warm, and easygoing—perfect for a cozy, feel-good break. We’ll be reading Happy Ending by Chloe Liese, a contemporary romance that blends humour, heart, and emotionally grounded characters navigating love, connection, and personal growth. It’s a breezy read that still gently explores deeper themes around relationships, vulnerability, and what it means to choose love in today’s world—without giving away too much, of course! 📖 In our discussion, we’ll chat about: * Our favourite moments and character dynamics (no spoilers!) * Modern dating culture—what’s changed, what hasn’t * The pros and cons of single life vs committed relationships * How we define love, independence, and emotional connection today Most importantly, it’s a space to unwind, share perspectives, and enjoy thoughtful conversation in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Improve your public speaking skills in a safe, fun and open environment

PMI Sydney Toastmasters club is one of Toastmasters International clubs. Toastmasters International (TI) is a USA headquartered educational organisation that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping members improve their communication, public speaking, and leadership skills. Through its thousands of member clubs, Toastmasters International offers a program of communication and leadership projects designed to help people learn the arts of speaking, listening, and thinking. This meetup group lists club meetings and events. We are a friendly, welcoming group who are interested in improving our public speaking and leadership skills. Whether your goal is to enhance your professional presentation skills, gain confidence in addressing an audience, we find that doing it in the company of like-minded people can be a lot of fun. Meetings include both impromptu and prepared speaking practice. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday each month, 5:45 PM for 6:00 PM start. Visiting the club for the first time is free of charge. Club officers are happy to support and provide detailed information should the visitor is interested to be the member of the club going forward. *** To better manage the attendees, all the visitors have to RSVP the event directly on Meetup before each meeting, so that we can arrange your attendance in face-to-face meetings or invite you to join the meetings via Zoom in the PMs and emails while complying with the Covid-19 related policies.

The Art Syndicate's weekly games night has been running for over two years. The regulars keep coming back. That's the whole story, really. ECBG Friday Meetup

We are ECBG, the Eastern Community Boardgame Group and we meet every Friday at 7pm. Come join us to experience lots of fun with board games, card games, social deduction games and more! We're a friendly group with a diverse group of attendees and welcome everyone to participate. Feel free to come along whether you're a seasoned veteran or just want to try out the hobby. We have lots of people that bring games along and they're all happy to teach games to new players. Bring your own games if you like too, announce the game you wish to run and you'll find players within our group. If you're new, don't worry about lack of numbers in prior attendance lists, we typically have 20-35 players each week. Attendance at our meetups is free, but Easts Club do require you to sign in to enter the club so valid ID is required. Although optional, if you start to attend our free events regularly, you may wish to consider joining Easts as a member in which case there is a small per year membership fee (under $10) to Easts and comes with perks and discounts. You can inquire further on this with Easts direct as you enter the club. We generally meet in the Bondi Room, the large area next to Artie's Bar on Level 1. Sometimes when there is an event on, we might be in Artie's Bar itself instead or in the function room on level 3. Club staff should be able to direct you to us if you're lost. Just ask where the board gaming group is. See you there!
